My granddaughter loves the kids zone and it gives me freedom to use the Y services.

I like the accessibility
There are many things for the kids to choose from. I have to literally drag my daughter out sometimes.
The KidZone is such a benefit to us. My son is not in day care or school so this is his version of “school”. It’s a joy to see him socializing and I feel like the adults truly care and everyone is having a positive time. Which, in turn, helps me have a meaningful workout. It all means more than you know!
The staff is always amazing! We mostly go to Speer and we love the family fun events, and the extra kid’s events like tie- dye, painting, family yoga, and all the sports.
We have a 3 and a 5 year old (in VPK). It would be awesome if there were spring break and summer camp options for their age group.
Other than that, we love everything the Y has been doing. Thank you and Keep up the great work!
My grandchildren have a great time in the kids zone and I feel comfortable leaving them there while I use the facility.

The Speer YMCA's kid zone is fantastic with both inside and outside activities. There is plenty of staff to watch the kids, it's always clean, and they have a very secure check-in and check-out process in place. The staff should be commended because they are always very friendly and helpful. Our grandson participates in basketball and swimming lessons and after his lessons he can't wait to go to the kid zone for an hour afterwards. I wish all the "Y's" were like Speer.

Safe and convenient
I really like YMCA Child Care. It feels safe and welcoming, and the staff is kind and attentive. The glass windows are a great feature — they make the space feel open and give me peace of mind. Overall, it’s a good place, and I feel comfortable leaving my child there.
One thing that could be improved is the variety and consistency of activities. Sometimes the schedule says things like “dance,” but it doesn’t always seem like those planned activities are actually happening. With a bit more engagement and follow-through on the program, it could be even better. It’s a great place, and I feel good knowing my child is in good hands.
I love the staff that you have there. Facility is clean and they really try to work with you with the crying babies. I would like it if they had more parents morning out for children ages 3 and above that our potty trained or can wear a diaper.
Kid zone is a life saver for parents!
I love that staff are always waving to kids and families as they walk past the windows. My daughter was hesitant to go and a staff member made sure she walked her to all the activities to see which one she liked.

The caregivers at the kids zone are absolutely incredible! I have absolutely no hesitations about leaving my son in their wonderful, upbeat, positive, caring hands. He always has a blast playing, and even when he is fussy at drop offs, they always take him in with open arms and make him feel comfortable. It has been such a blessing to have the ability to leave him with such a caring team and have the total peace of mind that he is in good hands.
The KidZone always has ample, competent staff watching over everyone's little ones. They greet each parent and/or guardian with a smile. The children are watched over with care and encouraged to share and interact positively with each other. Our child is quite shy and has thrived in this environment. We can work out in peace, knowing he is well taken care of. We are eternally grateful and will continue to be a part of this community for years to come.

Good mix of indoor and outdoors time. Great toys and games available. Nice and clean environment.
Teachers/employees are wonderful! My daughter has a hard time to adjust (she never been away from me ) and they helped her to overcome that!

Kid Zone absolutely saved our sanity this summer. Our babies did SO well there and had so much fun. We absolutely recommend the Bardmoor Y and Kid zone to everyone! Ms. Donna was an angel with our kids - they loved getting to come play with her and we loved the time to workout uninterrupted!!
