I have never been so happy with a school in all my 13 years of parenting. Speer Preschool Academy's teachers are incredible. They are fun, loving, smart, and creative. I can't believe how much my son has learned. We love all the teachers and staff but Mrs. Green has a true talent for making learning not only fun but also really cool too!
I am so happy I joined the Speer YMCA! Everyone is so helpful and friendly and the facilities are very clean. I have especially enjoyed the group exercise classes and I feel myself getting stronger. Thank you!

My daughter attends Speer YMCA Preschool, and I couldn’t be happier with the programs and activities they provide. The teachers truly care about each child and create a warm, welcoming environment that feels like family. I really appreciate how they balance structured learning with fun, creative play — my daughter is always excited to tell me about what she learned and the projects they worked on.
The curriculum encourages social, emotional, and academic growth, and I’ve seen such a positive change in her confidence and communication skills. The staff keeps parents informed and involved, which makes me feel comfortable knowing she’s in great hands every day.
Overall, I love the combination of nurturing care, engaging activities, and the YMCA values they teach. Speer YMCA Preschool has been a wonderful foundation for my daughter’s early learning journey, and I would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a supportive and enriching preschool program

The building is very clean. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive. As a small business owner, I would be happy to hire any one of these friendly, professional staffers!
The machines are well maintained. My wife loves her Wednesday morning class, my next door neighbor loves his Monday and Wednesday afternoon classes and I love my weekday afternoon weight training.

Programs and activities are really good. It would be great to have more Silver Sneakers classes like Tom's, but not taught by Lee. Interval training class at 9 am, Mon & Wed is too full, people running to get a place in class.
Parking lot is a zoo. Too many people arriving and departing at same time. Sometime it makes you late for class....then the class is 'full.' Was it planned for the middle school to use the same lot as the Y?
Plantings in parking lot and around the building are full of very mature weeds. It's a disgrace.
All in all, the facility is excellent. These comments just hope to make it even better!
The variety of programs that are appropriate for all age groups. Personally, I would like more Yin Yoga classes and I believe "cooking classes" may be offered was mentioned when we signed up, that would be great.
Everything is really nice and clean and great atmosphere. My only complaint is that there are consistently children in the adult locker room, often older children and of the opposite sex. Is there a way to better explain the family locker rooms? Or maybe if they can’t figure it out I’ll just switch to the private locker room myself.

Lealman YMCA Preschool provides a welcoming environment and is home to an exceptional team of educators. Our daughter received wonderful care from the infant team, and since transitioning to the toddler program, we’ve been incredibly impressed by her growth and development under the guidance of Ms. Lyann. The progress she has made is truly remarkable. Our family also deeply appreciates the family-oriented atmosphere that makes it feel like a second home.
Offers many programs for all ages groups. Provides seniors with social connections and programs. Health programs like Live strong, prediabetic weight loss, etc.
