Member Testimonials
Good upkeep of facilities and multiple offerings that accommodate a variety of schedules and routines. A great way to meet new friends while taking care of your health & fitness. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.
Fitness facility
I’m not sure yet I just joined
We enjoyed the large outdoor pool and the baby pool
The Y has stepped up their Silver Sneakers/AOA classes and it shows in the number of class participants showing up! The instructors are great! My only observation is that there are a few individuals in the classes that are disruptive and talk throughout the class.
I mainly use the exercise machines. I like that the facilities are clean and well maintained and that the staff are friendly. My partner and I are a queer couple, and I like that we feel safe and welcome.
Lots of choices and room.
So far, so good.
So far I have just worked out on bikes and weight room, but we are all looking forward to going swimming soon.
So far, I only use the indoor pool. I like that the pool and the locker room are not crowded (family swim) between 7-8:30 a.m.
Lifeguards are nice, helpful, conscientious (especially Hanna)
Downside: 1) I think the pool deck and pool water could be kept a bit cleaner.
                  2) although the women's shower area is generally improved since the remodel, there
are only 2 temperatures: OFF and EXTREMELY HOT.
I have not been a member long enough to comment.
Swimming
Lots to offer, classes or independent. Great outdoor and indoor pool. They're working on getting more classes instructors, so there will be more offerings soon. Great summer camps for kids!
I've only done water aerobics with Sue. Love it and she is very personable.
Clean facilities.
Just got my membership. Hopefully going tonight for the first time. Like the outdoor pool....only one around here. Probably use the equipment more in the colder months. Looking forward to seeing what the pool is like when it is covered.
There's a large variety of things to do, and I've met many new friends
Silver Sneakers classes. Gym equipment. I would like to see more recumbent exercise bikes instead of spin class bikes which I cannot use.
Wide age variety
Silver sneakers fitness group classes are wonderful!
The instructors are fun and encouraging! The people in the classes are kind and very friendly!
The family atmosphere, the amazing staff and leaders.
I attend Alyssa's Group Fight classes on Tuesday/Thursday. I follow Tuesday's cardio with Bob's yoga and Thursday's cardio with Anna's stretch. These are really great combinations of intensity followed by an hour of stretching! I also attend Jamie's Barre class on Wednesday.
All four instructors are always friendly, on time, prepared and helpful if modifications are needed. Group Fight is a program that changes every month or so. The other three classes are varied each week to keep things interesting and challenging.
I go to the Blue Ash Y on Monday/Friday for step classes and the Powel Crosley Y on Saturday for kettle bell. Five days of cardio has allowed me to keep my doctor happy (blood pressure, weight and no need for medications at 64) which has been my goal. I would not be able to do it without the Cincinnati YMCA! THANK YOU!!
Clean and plenty of help
Classes included in membership
