We really enjoy the pool. My husband and I would like to start using the gym.
Love being able to go swimming and enjoying a few hours there everyday. Also like the excerise room when I am able to use it. I have not done any other program there, but looking forward to that come fall.
The YMCA is always there to fill the gaps and lend a hand in the community. When working parents needed childcare for their kindergarten children this past year due to the circumstances created by COVID, the YMCA stepped up. The Y has fabulous summer day camps filled with loving staff. We can’t wait to use the awesome outdoor pool again this summer.
I like the Silver Sneakers group exercise program. I think the trainer, Nicole does a very good job leading the class.
I loved going swimming, the fitness center and basketball.
Swimming
Great variety of classes for all levels of fitness. The facility is very clean and welcoming. Instructors are great! One wish would be if the fitness classes for seniors could be moved to the gym. The mid day class is quite popular and more people could attend if there was a larger room.
The variety of exercise programs means there is something for everyone. I don’t know anyone but most people are friendly.
As a senior citizen, I appreciate the courses that take my age and physical condition into consideration. Not everyone is capable of high power activity (especially those of us who are in their 70s and were sitting around while the pandemic raged).
I like how family oriented the whole places

Great program for my daughter. Was her first year playing soccer and she had an amazing experience. The location, timing, coaches--all of it was great.

The coach really got to know the kids, and everyone had a good time, both at practice and during games.

I like the yoga classes
Ms. Anne is in a league of her own. Her ability to make swim fun, educational and comfortable with new swimmers is astounding. I have recommended her and the ymca to every young family I’ve met.
Helpful and supportive, my kids love going
We love the pool. The hours are limited though. It was advertised as being open till 8 on weekends and now it is only open till 6. By the time we get there after baseball games and whatnot, it is closing. Huge disappointment to have false advertising for 8pm and then close at 6pm. Hopefully it gets extended as the summer progresses. Coney Island is open till 9pm on Saturdays and 8pm on Sundays.
