I'm coming back vaccinated and boosted after a year and a half off due to COVID. The indolence cost me three heart stents. My session went very well today. I had to drop back a lot from 1.5 years ago (doh!) but I felt really good afterwards.
Close proximity. Cleanliness and good customer service.
The staff is extra friendly and helpful. The building's clean and well kept. There are a variety of fitness classes to choose from, and it's possible to participate at different levels. I find the Y a home away from home!

My new personal trainer is great -- everything I had imagined when I decided to go this route to get more fit. And the Y itself has been super, welcoming me back after quite a while of not coming into the facility. I am happy I've returned.

Welcoming environment, nice range of equipment
The staff are knowledgeable, forthcoming and friendly. The facility is clean and cheerful. And there is plenty of space for personal activity with feeling overcrowded.
The only down side is there is not enough racquet ball playing or volleyball games. That is because there are not enough members requesting them. Come on Ladies and Gentlemen, let's play!!!
Other than that sidebar, the Orokawa Y in Towson is lovely for individuals and family activities.

I just rejoined the Y recently and I went yesterday to make an appointment to get involved with FitQuest. I was informed immediately what I needed to do, made an appointment, and was able to meet with a trainer (Chris). Chris met me on the dot at 4 pm and spent @ an hour getting me reaquainted with the program and reacessing me for a strengh training program. I have another appointment for more instruction on Monday. Previously I was a member at this same Y and mostly did swimming classes. I was always impressed with the swimming program and expect to try out some of the classes again.
