We have only visited a few times, mostly for the pool, which my son LOVES and is about worth the cost on it's own. I'm excited to take advantage of the fitness center when he starts camp next week!

The Orokawa Y was my link to sanity during the COVID crisis. Outdoor classes were first offered in the summer of 2020, but with my fair skin I only took a few classes. In the fall of 2020, I began to take the cardio and hip-hop dance classes- held outdoors in all but literally freezing weather - and I'm so glad I did! The classes were filled with women from all walks of life. As a "senior citizen", I felt welcomed and a true part of the class. The dances were energetic, the music opened up a whole new musical world to me. I danced hard, sweated hard, and loved every moment. Besides keeping myself physically fit, I came home each day more prepared to face the COVID world and all of its complexities. The women in my classes were warm, open, and friendly. My teachers were amazing and truly interested in us. I made many new friends that I otherwise would not have made in the days before the pandemic. The Orokawa Y is a true gift to our community and I can't thank its teachers and leadership enough for all they have done.

Our very first visit was last Sunday. We just came to check out the building and walk around, and ended up playing ping pong and air hockey in the family area for a while. We have already been to the pool twice this week and my 6-year-old is LOVING it. He can't wait till camp starts in two weeks.
