I like the warm water pool when it is warm
It is Fun and we all have good time at the facility. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We also enjoy Pickleball a lot.

I have a new community of friends at the Y. As an elder adult, it’s so important. I feel known and loved.
Maintenance in the men's locker room at Ellicott City Y is terrible. Drains in the showers do not drain properly. I have brought this to staff's attention and nothing has been done. The water valves in the showers need replacement. You can't fully turn them off so water runs continuously. You are wasting hundreds of gallons of water each day. Many of the lockers are damaged and are difficult to open.
Generally maintenance is terrible and when you report something, rarely is it repaired and if it is, it takes many weeks.
Staff is nice, yoga instructor, Gail, is great!
Clean, inviting, easy to access classes
Parents night out, gym, hours of operation. I wish there were more individual swim lessons available for kids and adults.

Where do I begin? The variety of classes, pickleball availability, the friendly staff, the clean facility, etc. If I need to put my membership on hold due to an illness, surgery or injury, it's never a problem. Also, the socialization. I have so many friends there that I never feel like the only one there.
Proximity to my home
I enjoy the Y especially as a mom being able to drop off my kids to work out without worrying about them. It makes it much more manageable to get active especially in the winter months.
The staff is friendly!
The Y is such a bargain compared to every other gym I've been to! The variety of classes and equipment is impressive! I enjoy yoga and you just don't get the number and variety of classes without belonging to a separate and very expensive studio. Most importantly, you really do get the sense that this organization is truly involved in and cares about the community it serves. 110% thunbs up!

The classes are good and the staff members are friendly.
A great majority of the staff members are very welcoming and ready to resolve issues. While the cleaning has improved over the past few months, more work needs to be done. As example, one area of the fitness center was covered with dirty spots. The ladies room needs attention following the water exercise sessions. The floor becomes slippery & a potential hazard to those with disabilities. I've been a member for four years & have been working with Stacy Yoo as my trainer. Both she & Jamal have been especially helpful over the years.
Value and Variety
Y has a variety of activities for all ages; from exercise classes, yoga, Pilates, cycling, swimming, basketball, pickleball and many more. The instructors are very nice, friendly and very knowledgeable. The staff are likewise very friendly and helpful: Sam,Laura, Sarah, Deidra, Karen, KB, Paul, Ryan, Brent, Sandy, Racquel, Markeis, Jamal, Mike to name a few!! I call the Y my second home, my happy place, I found my second family here at the Y. A group of us who were interested to learn and play Mahjong last October 5, 2023 asked the staff if we can use the Y as our venue for our weekly mahjong session and we are given permission and even provided us 2 tables we can use . We are so thankful for this. So it’s been over a year now that we play mahjong and our number of players have grown.
