I love the community feel of the Catonsville Y. I see many of the same people everyday and everyone who works there and works out there is friendly and helpful. It gives you that "I'm home" feeling!

Availability of classes
We love the flexible schedules and the all year availability of the pool! The whole family can take the classes that they like!
Great classes, especially cycle. The instructors for Monday, Thursday and Friday am classes keep the participants engaged and provide a terrific workout. Music is also great.

I LOVE THE ENVIRONMENT
I enjoy going to the Catonsville Y, but have been going to other Y's more lately, particularly Ellicott City because it offers more evening times for lap swimming. My wife and I used to come late every Friday night to the Catonsville Y to lap swim, but have been going to Ellicott City since the schedule was changed. Catonsville is closer for us and I would gladly return if there was more late lap swim access.

The staff and the equipment are excellent.
However, I would like to see the M,W, F Aqua Arthritis class, which existed for many years at Catonsville, reestablished.
Also, I am aware that there is a T, Th Aqua Arthritis class, but the frequency of the class (2 days per week) is insufficient and the early afternoon time of the class is inconvenient for many members.

The YMCA IN Catonsville is a second home for me. The staff is amazing and I have made so many friends there.
Today Sun16Apr2023 I was happy to educate our front desk person about the meaning of "trash bag" and "trash can liner". The Catonsville outdoor trash can was without a liner, and with its top removed and set on the pavement, from my check-in ~8:15am until I left ~1:00pm. I've seen the looks on member faces when even basic issues like this are not attended to. Lovely, friendly staff. The facility is very well maintained with repairs promptly made. The facility is clearly very well managed. Staff finds creative, fun ways to keep members engaged.

To start the staff is helpful and friendly. I love the group fitness classes, all of the options have allowed me to have a really diverse workout routine. Stay and Play is such a wonderful perk, and my son loves going. Parent's Night out is also wonderful, and a special treat for my 3 year old. I love that there are so many activities for my 3 year old to participate in.
