Convenient, Clean, Great Instructors, Latest Equipment
The YMCA IN Catonsville is a second home for me. The staff is amazing and I have made so many friends there.
Today Sun16Apr2023 I was happy to educate our front desk person about the meaning of "trash bag" and "trash can liner". The Catonsville outdoor trash can was without a liner, and with its top removed and set on the pavement, from my check-in ~8:15am until I left ~1:00pm. I've seen the looks on member faces when even basic issues like this are not attended to. (When I said "trash bag" and "liner" to our front desk, she seemed mystified). -- Leon Dague, housekeeper, Erickson corporate

Good equipment and hours. Friendly staff.
Could be better: cleaning all the vents and filters in the ceiling regularly.
Wonderful
Everything thus far.
The staff are really nice and helpful. The pool and the exercise equipment are great as well. The center is family oriented.
Flexibility, friendly
The staff is very pleasant and helpful with explaining all the advantages of the membership while signing up and especially with show me how to use each piece of equipment. It is very clean.
Love it!! Great classes, especially the aqua arthritis. I have the best instructor at the 1:00 pm class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I like the size of the Y and the convenience of being just about one mile from me. I like the family membership. I like the equipment, which is always in good condition. An excellent thing for our community. I also like the fact that when I attend, there are all types of cultures and people around me. Hispanic, African American, Caucasian, Mid Eastern, etc. terrific. Just what the world is really like.
I spoke to Rachel at the Y at Catonsville and she told me about the parents night out. I was so excited to learn that this program was free for Y members. My husband and I really needed some adult time. Rachel made my weekend and I would definitely recommend the Y to my friends and family! My kids had a ball as well👍
The counselors’involvement with the children
The staff is very friendly and communicates with parents. My kids love going there and I feel a peace of mind that I can trust them with my kids.
The lady Mary Grace at the Catonsville location was so helpful. She gave me a quick tour and explained everything and all the options that my family of 4 had. They have a great way of helping out when it’s hard to join something because of money issues. I’m so happy to have finally did the application and went in to check it out. They have fun activities for my little boy and he enjoyed every bit of it. So far everybody I’ve encountered has been nice and helpful there.
We love the Y. My family and I love the people, the services and the programs.
My kids really enjoy going to the Y. Everyone I talk to is very kind and helpful.
More kickboxing/ Body Combat classes, please!!!! It's my favorite and Monica is awesome! I also love Carolyn's Zumba, Beni's Zumba and Kalindi is always great!

The staff and the equipment are excellent.
However, I would like to see the M,W, F Aqua Arthritis class, which existed for many years at Catonsville, reestablished.
Also, I am aware that there is a T, Th Aqua Arthritis class, but the frequency of the class (2 days per week) is insufficient and the early afternoon time of the class is inconvenient for many members.
