Plant City YMCA has the very best water aerobics instructors.
Only have used the pools. So far I've been there six times. If they would mix up the music outside and not play only country music, that would be nice. Beautiful place.

I enjoy the people-both members and employees are kind, respectful and helpful. I get frustrated with the lack of cleanliness some days. There is no cleaning on weekends and sometimes the smell is awful. I have been told we are due for renovations but it’s been 5 years since I started to hear that but some things really need to be addressed.
So people are good but building is aging and neglected.
Great pool, clean and comfortable environment. The staff is friendly and listen when you speak with them. I love it.

Great group ex classes
Because they have a variety of programs available to seniors. They have a special program for people with Parkinsons and have a support group. The equipment is first rate and the staff is dedicated and professional. The Aquatic swim classes and aerobics are helpful. It is nice to know that you will be with like minded people with the same goals. Overall it has benefitted our family.
I think the YMCA is a venerable institution and that the Bob Gilbertson Center upholds the ideals of the YMCA very well. The center has been around for a long time, but the facility and, most especially, the staff have kept up with and exceeded expectations for a family-centered activity center. The gym equipment and pool facilities are well-maintained. There are activities for people of all ages, from young children to geriatrics. I know this because I am a
In the latter category and often attend the center with my 7 year old granddaughter. She and I both love to use the pool. We tend to do more laughing than swimming, but come home to nap afterwards. She and I have both had swimming lessons from the skilled, and extremely patient aquatics staff. There are classes available for all ages…and you can learn life saving skills like CPR there. Overall, the Bob Gilbertson “Y” is an asset to this community that requires and needs the support of this community.
I take the Silver Sneakers classes and really like them and have recommended them to many other seniors for helping with strength and flexibility
