Is a great program
We have been a Y family for 6 years. Our son started in the basketball youth league at 13 years old and is getting ready to finish his last season this Spring. Basketball has helped him build confidence, stay active, build his social community, and learn to be a leader. In addition, his dad had the opportunity to Coach for 4 seasons and has enjoyed every moment with the kids and coaching his son. We recommend the YWCA to anyone seeking a place to feel like they belong.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with the Y over the past nine years! Two of my kids have been on their competitive swim team and it’s fantastic. The coaches and staff have all been amazing. We highly recommend the Y to all of our family and friends.

Coach Emma has created a supportive group where everyone is encouraged to work hard and achieve their potential. She finds the right way to motivate kids and keep them focused their goals. It’s been an amazing experience.
Great coach and great team! Coach Kenny works so well with the team and they work so well with him. My daughter loves it….we are in our 3rd year.
I have referred the families of at least 16 children to the New Tampa YMCA (sports/summer camp/after school program/membership, etc.).
My referrals have a lot to do with my experience with Coach Maurice (basketball ) and Eammon. Coach Maurice is a phenomenal leader that provides leadership and development with positive reinforcement to the kids. He gives 110%, sincerely cares about each child, remains patient, calm, positive, fair, and does not practice favoritism. Coach Maurice is an effective and efficient communicator with the parents and goes above and beyond for team and parents. Most people don’t even know how much he does for his team unless you have the honor of being on his team. I just wish Coach would move up to the older age groups as the kids grow. lol
Eammon really cares about the families and their experience at the New Tampa YMCA. He is humble, polite, and is always pleasant. No matter what happens in his day he greets you with a smile. I feel a sense of safeness when Eammon is there.
I hope these two gentlemen remain with the YMCA for at least the next 15 years because they are both so impactful to so many families.
It is good opportunity for our son increase his skills in a low-stress environment.
My daughter was new to volleyball. The coach and the team were so welcoming she is now about to start her third season.

My son has been playing basketball at the Y for over two years now. He’s learned so much from playing at the Y. He has become an awesome basketball player. Learning and playing at the Y has helped him try out and make the middle school basketball team and now trying out for High School next year. Thank you Plant City YMCA for having this wonderful program!
Convenience for my family and close to home. No traveling an hour away for games.
Would like to see indoor soccer for the summer...even if it's in the airnasium.
