We love the Y and the staff at the childcare center are so good with our kids. They know them by name. Our kids love playing there while we work out. It’s great for the entire family.

Gloria, Kayla and Vanessa are incredible ladies. My kids love all of them very much. I can tell these ladies take their job seriously and put in the effort required to take care of so many children at once. I do believe their manager or supervisor should give them more support as they are only a 3 people handling a lot of children. More resources such as DVD's, activities for the kids, snacks and more man power. I feel they would thrive even more if they had a few more adult hands on deck to help. Gloria is doing an amazing job since Amber left, and she deserves all the kudos!
Just a great place for the family
I love the Y. The instructors and classes are great. I like the variety of classes and times they are offered.
Having access to a facility that continuously updates equipment, adds on more facilities for use and delivers more activities to do as a family is a huge benefit to the families health. From the workout center to kids sports, the water facilities to the stay and play there is always something to do here. Additionally having things like family movie night, golf driving range, painting, heck even salsa dance lessons makes it not just a place to work out or play sports but also an event center to fill time in a healthy and family focused manner. With a great staff throughout it is always a great part of any day or weekend to go to the Spurlino YMCA.
Afterschool program at Alafia is great. My daughter Pepper loves it and doesn’t want to leave.

I wish all the YMCA’s had the Sauna in Tampa Bay Area. I enjoy the downtown Y the best as it has the sauna! :)
Mrs. Maria at Anderson Elementary is absolutely phenomenal! She is always so attentive to the children and ensures that they have a great time but her priority is always their safety and well being. As a first time parent, this brings me great comfort knowing my child is in good hands! My daughter also loves Mrs. Maria and I hear all of the wonderful stories about her when she comes home! I would highly recommend this after school program to anyone considering!

I love the Les Mills programs and your instructors for group exercise. I also appreciate that even while we are under construction right now, everyone is working to keep the classes on the schedule.
We love how the Gorrie YMCA is being run by Brady. It is very organized, feels very safe for my child, and is very convenient. My child is very happy there, and I do not worry about his safety or fun when he is at YMCA after school.
Everyone was super accommodating as we worked to get my 2yr old comfortable. Paige is absolutely incredible, she knows exactly what is needed and how to manage his energy.

I can see my kids progression with each session. They truly are learning and enjoying the classes. The instructors are patient and very informative. My daughter is very uncomfortable in the water and each week I see her fears receding.

Everyone at the Palm Ave location have been awesome since I joined in late January. From the tour, navigating the app, and being friendly and welcoming. I actually tore my achilles there in February and the staff helped me out a lot. I've been going since then any the staff continue to be awesome. I'm a franchise executive for other gyms in the area and strive for my stores to get their customer service to the level I'm received.

Very clean well run facility
I especially love the group exercise classes. You can try all the different classes without paying an extra fee. The childcare is also a plus.
The kids get to be active and outdoors in a safe environment. I wish the program included learning activities like beginners volleyball then rotate to beginners soccer. Rotational activities in elementary school for beginners would allow the children to learn and build skills in sports to prepare for middle and highs school sports.
Cassandra is so patient with the preschool class.
I would definitely recommend the Y at Gorrie Elementary. All the stuff and particularly Mr. Brady are exceptionally nice. They know all the kids and engage with them so the kids literally do not want to leave home. thank you!!! (Alex's, 2nd Grade, mum)
