Nice facility and staff!
I like to work out early morning and do the cycling class. The only problem of late is no teacher on Tuesday or sub for Chris when he is unable to be there. Chris is very good and I do enjoy his class. However, there should be a substitute because getting up at 4:00am and finding out no teacher is very disappointing.
Everything is fine.If Atrocities aerobics can be six in the evening for those who can’t attend the morning classes.Thks
Staff is friendly and this branch has an abundance of activities.
I love the community good feeling when being there. I love the workout classes and love the whirlpool and workout rooms. I've been a member since 1997 and I still love it! And the staff is great! Thank y'all and I Always tell people about y'all. 😁
Even though I like the Young YMCA I am constantly disappointed that the activities are never advertised as well as they should be and as a result events are not attended well because of this. AS i HAVE SAID MANY TIMES BEFORE TO THE STAFF THERE ! When you make a sign on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper then place it on the desk for patrons to see is NOT good. If someone is standing at the desk, usually in front of the sign, it will not be seen. Most people, come in, hand off their ID and keep walking, and they leave the same way after retrieving their ID. You have a bulletin board in the outer lobby that you have pictures of your board members advertised. This is not only a waste of space but there are also pictures of the board members advertised on the inside hallway wall. Please think seriously about using that bulletin board for upcoming information so that it will become the designated area for upcoming information and events. If the right attention was given, such as color paper, larger signs, larger type, graphics, etc. maybe more events would be better attended.
It was well organized.
I utilize the aerobics program primarily but I feel very connected to the facility. I have been a member for over 20 years so it feels like family
I like the offerings for yoga during the day. I appreciate the different style of each teacher.
The staff is courteous and friendly.
Variety of health and wellness classes.
IT was our first time at this location. We usually go to East Lake or Carver but both were extremely crowded at the time. We tried the Andrew Young location for something different .
Though my two teenage boys and I only used the basketball court to train, we were very impressed with the facility and more impressed by the very friendly staff!
We are looking forward to returning soon after our fall school break!
The time the classes are offered and easy to be a part of them.
The Y is my church; It is where I get my spirit need meet. There is something for everybody the
young and the older person.
Family friendly and lots to do
Convenient
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the group fitness program and love that more diverse exercise courses are being added to the existing, strong foundation of regimens by outstanding and committed group fitness instructors! In 2018, I’m glad and honored to be in this position to say that I love the developments over time and since my attendance here from back when my Mother brought me here in the mid-1970s, as a child.
I’ve been able to visit other YMCAs over the years and still see where we can do better, for there is always room for improvement. I’ll be happy to expound on those later, but overall and with the economic challenges - the SW YMCA has done well with staying power. Please, please keep up the great work!
