Clean, friendly place with lots of great equipment
I like the cleanliness of the facility. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I like that you are not locked down at just one location because I was lookin for swim lessons and the location closest to me was all booked up. I was able to go get lesson at this location and we are very happy we sign up for this class at this location.
The outdoor pool was great fun! (It was open when this Y said it would be.) The reception staff were helpful with a guest pass and wrist bands.
Offer a variety of exercise options.
Location
Sally the strength coach was excellent at helping me decipher the strength machines so I could start to work by myself.
Love Zumba and Fierce Funk
The classes are good and give me the motivation I need to stay fit.
Instructors are always so positive and upbeat
Wonderful staff and facilities!
My son and I enjoy the family friendly outdoor pool with slide.
Classes, Tennis
Loved the pool!
Outdoor pool
Zumba! Would like the classes to return to 1 hour. It’s a long drive for just 45 minutes of exercise. 15 minutes makes a big difference.
I especially like having multiple options for water aerobics and the ability to participate at any of the metro ATL facilities.
I like the pool, jacuzzi, gym.
Excellent
Senior classes
The instructors are great, esp Jan, Jennifer, Andy, Terri,
Large variety
Camps, swimming pool
Classes, pool, child care!
Multiple options to choose from in a variety of schedules. Wish you could RSVP in advance of 24 hours though, for group classes.
I don't take advantage of the Y's programs and activities. Our children are grown, and we generally go to the Y for our workout and then return home. I've tried some exercise classes, but at 75 I found them unappealing. Loud music and booming instructions over the PA turn me off. I also don't like being in a crowded space, and the classes seem quite full.
While I don't think classes targeted to people in their 30s, 40s, and perhaps 50s are suitable for me, I'm also in pretty good shape and would like fitness class that challenges me. I've been taking tai chi classes at a studio for at least 6 years, maybe more, and would definitely take tai chi at at the Y if it were offered. I did try the Arthritis Foundation tai chi class a few years ago, and my fitness level was definitely above the level of that course.
I guess my frustration is that I'm not young and I'm not old. I'd like to have some options somewhere in between.
Lots of cycling options. Great kids activities
Great facilities, great options (basketball, pool, tennis, etc.) and child care. That's very valuable for working parents!
We love the pool! (The lifeguards are sometimes distracted and/or on their phones though…)
The day care and kids pool. However the childcare break from 12-4 is hard for us. I would love a smaller gap.

The staff is accommodating and very helpful. I enjoy how they're to assist you with issues you may have with the programs you are trying to register for. I registered my granddaughter for swimming lessons. I was amazed how well her instructor, Jimmy, made her feel comfortable in the water on her first lesson.
