Excellent trainers available also - I gave myself the "gift" of working individually on some specific goals (cardio, endurance, balance) as I joined a new demographic on my last birthday!

The look and feel of Townlake Y is peaceful yet filled with purpose. I always park in the parking lot; so I get to walk through the beautiful patio and admire the gardens. Your life guards are always attentive. I really love this facility.
Good variety of equipment and programs in a very agreeable setting. I've lived in Austin for 40 years now and have been a member of the Y for most of them.
I like the Body Pump classes; and I wish you would bring back the Friday morning "Strong."

I love the swim class for 3-5 year olds!
It would be great if the teacher (Ruby) showed up on time. The last two times he started the class 10 minutes late and finished on time. So it was only a 20 min class instead of 30 mins
It's a good pool with less chlorine than most.
Ashley, Kenzie and Niamh were great in explaining some of the ways to teach the basics to my child. I saw that he was able to pick up on those things fairly quickly!

Love bodypump classes. I probably wouldn’t work out if it wasn’t for the group classes. They keep me motivated. Especially Michael and Maggie’s classes. They are great instructors.
I like water exercise classes (shout out to Q, Juan, and Leslie!) I like seeing the classes in the outdoor exercise area and hope to take a cycling class sometime or an exercise class there. Those teachers look excellent too!

Classes are generally small and follow a good progression of skills.

The covered pool is so great for my hubby who is susceptible to skin cancers. The people who work there are the friendliest, most welcoming people, and always with smiling faces. Feels like home to me. Way to go Townlake YMCA💕😁😁😁👍👍👍👍
A good variety of classes. I appreciate the extended hours in the evening, added since the easing of of pandemic restrictions. It’s always nice to be greeted by the staff when checking in. This practice is not the case at the Southwest YMCA, but should be.
There is lots of excellent equipment available to all members. The Y's decision to move many classes outside during Covid was an excellent one that served/serves the community well. I do wish the roof of the area above the outdoor cycling area would be finished, since the canopy would be good during rain.
The staff is SO FRIENDLY! That is so encouraging.
I like the programs to make sure children are safe in the water, and I think the pool is put to excellent use with plenty of times for lap swimming as well as aqua exercise programs.
I REALLY appreciate that the Y accepts the "Silver Sneakers" membership and I am glad to see people of all ages using the facilities.
Child watch is the best!!! It makes working out possible as a parent. The longer the Child Watch available hours, the better. :)
