Your rates are reasonable.
The facility is attractive and clean.
Staff (counter, cleaning and trainers) are friendly and seem like they really care about the Y's "customers".
You have a nice variety of classes.
We like the fact that the YMCA is an all inclusive facility; there are older adults, young children and everyone in between just having fun with their appropriate activities. Everyone is very friendly from the front desk staff to the teachers of the classes. The classes are so much fun and so varied that there is something for everyone! Oh, and don't forget the free coffee after your workout...a time to relax and regroup. A wonderful inclusion into your daily activities that is good for your mental and physical health. So glad it is here in Austin!
Group exercise, proximity to town lake trails
I don’t really do the programs or activities.
Swimming pool still excellent, clean.
What I like about down town YMCA's programs and activities is the people who make up it's practicing community: The pleasant staff, and most members. As enjoyable as the programs and activities are (my favorite is weight resistance do to large number of equipment and plenty of space) if the positive social environment wasn't present, I wouldn't show up. Smiling faces belonging to genuine folks like Ally who's at front desk at times make an uplifting difference.

More kids programs
I enjoy your water aerobics classes, swimming laps and yoga classsz.
workout rooms
Swimming and children’s classes.
I like the variety of programming. I use the classes the most but I enjoy that there is a variety of classes (cardio, weight training, zumba, bike, etc) and they are at a good amount of times. I think that's invaluable and great that it's included as part of the monthly fee.
I liked working with my trainer, Francisco. He helped design a program that worked with me and my health conditions.
I haven't done any of the programs, but I love the atmosphere!
The variety of equipment
My daughter, who has Down Syndrome, and I attend DSACT activities at Town Lake YMCA every weekend. We enjoy Bootcamp, Dance, and Warrior Storm. This is a great way to interact with other families like ours and stay fit at the same time. Everyone who welcomes us at the front desk is always friendly.
Kid friendly
The people! The classes! The equipment! What’s not to like?!
I like the variety and friendliness of the staff.
Teachers are great. Pool is clean. Feels safe.
Love the extra curricular activities (music, Valentine's Sale and craft making) and the sense of community these activities create. I really like that the Y is a community hub based on health, fitness and all things good for you.
friendliness, exceptional professional leaders in whatever sport
Included in the monthly charge. Not appreciating classes with add on charges. Let's not be like the airlines. There are too many other choices. I would like to see a stop start pay program as we are often gone three months at a time and $225 adds up.
There are a lot of options. Child watch is always available. Employees seem happy.
I love the swimming community at the YMCA.
Youth sports, the enthusiasm and organization of the staff, especially Coach Jude with Track! He and his team are amazing and will keep us coming back every year. I'd love to see him run an adult track! They embody all that the Y stands for in an inclusive positive way.
Phil is a great Zumba instructor and I would love more times!
I haven’t been able to use them yet because my son screams when he sees that he has to go to the daycare. The daycare employees (especially Johnnie) have been so wonderful and patient about trying to get my son use to being away from me so I can workout. He’s still not ready but I can’t wait to go to the yoga classes. I just got my husband boxing classes for Valentine’s Day.
My son loves Coach Jude! His enthusiasm is number one. I’m impressed in a short amount of time how he is able to know almost all the kids names.
Only suggestion is to start with shorter distances and work up to the mile for the meets. Focusing on just a couple of events and then rotating the kids was good but too many events and so many kids makes for a long morning.
But again so love Jude and the rest I f the coaches!
I love the positivity and how much Coach Jude clearly loves the kids. This is our first YMCA experience, and we will be back!

The many class options at different levels - especially yoga & Pilates
