I liked the fact that Sylvan build a line of communication with my child’s teachers! They keep up with my child’s subjects, grades and attitude while at school.. They really get involved with your child’s education all around!

My daughter attended Sylvan in between kindergarten and first grade. Her teacher wanted to give her reading tutoring but I liked how Sylvan could help her in every subject. What a great decision that was! She had a great first grade year and I believe it was because she was so well prepared. My son started at Sylvan when he was 4 years old to help him prepare for his kindergarten evaluation. I was a little worried at first as he had never been to day care or preschool and was in speech therapy. I tried working with him myself, like I did my daughter, but he did not enjoy flash cards like she did, which left us both disappointed. I am so happy to say today that he has been accepted to kindergarten! He knows all his colors, shapes, numbers and letters and he knows how to spell his name! Every tutoring session he earns points and cashes in for prizes, kinda like an arcade, which was great motivation for him. The staff at Sylvan has ALWAYS been warm friendly and inviting and the facility is nice and clean. I like how I can schedule tutoring session times that are convenient for our whole family and work around extracurricular activities. Siblings can share hours too! I really could go on and on. I have nothing but good things to say! Thank you Sylvan of Garner!
They are very thorough, personable, and very knowledgeable. It is the first time I feel like someone really understands how my daughter learns. Also, being my voice at parent teacher conference is invaluable. I nearly cried hearing how much Marissa Ruprich knew about my daughter and gave some much valuable information about to get the best results from my daughter, in terms of how she best learns. I can tell that my daughter's confidence is growing.

Sylvan prepared my daughter to take the ACT and SAT and she got in to every college she applied to! They were very easy to work with at the Garner location and my daughter felt very comfortable going there for her tutoring. I highly recommend the Sylvan location in Garner, NC!
The staff is incredibly friendly. They make an effort to check in and see how everything is going. They seem to care about how the student is enjoying and want to make it an enjoyable experience.
