The YMCA in Norh Kansas City is a great facility. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and a pleasure to work out in.
Mu husband and I just recently joined after retiring.
From the moment we called to inquire about their program offerings and costs, we encountered nothing but the kindest and most patient people.
The facility itself is well maintained and even has current tech tools for youth!
I've tried out a couple of different classes like Yoga, Barre , and High Intensity workouts.
All of the instructors are Profesional, helpful, and don't push you to do more than you are able.
So refreshing!!
Great mix of group classes that don’t cost extra, professional personal trainers, decent amount of weight equipment and reasonable pricing. Additionally this Y is very inclusive and welcoming to all nationalities and cultures and even provides a small food pantry.
It's the best Y in town! So many options for working out solo or in a group setting. I love the locker rooms and my kids love the pool area.
I like playing pickleball. The YMCA gives me plenty of space and time. However, they need to fix their new gym floor at the Northland YMCA because it is slick and dangerous for the seniors. There will be a broken arm, or hip in the near future, if that problem isn't taken care of. That can cost all YMCAs in the pocketbook.
The many classes, isolated machines, treadmills and many other aerobic machines and the swimming pool are great. The facility is clean and safety concerned and everyone I've met that works or volunteers there is friendly and helpful. There are quite a few of us retired folks along with people of all age ranges and gender. We have only been there a couple of weeks and are very happy with everything.

Everything is great and I like what they do for the community. I just wish they had more cycle classes but it’s wonderful to go there and it’s clean.

Easy to get in and out for a workout. Big facility with lots of choices for variety.
Very spacious gym with all the equipment and classes a person could need.
