The staff is always friendly and helpful, the facility is always clean, and I appreciate the consistent upgrades. It's also a great place for my older sons to be able to go and workout, play basketball, or spend time in the teen tech center after school and on hot summer day.
My only wish is that there was an outdoor pool, and I realize that's a big one.

It is clean and very well maintained. The instructors are kind and efficient.
I do wish that they had a printed out schedule of the classes. That would be nice to be able to grab one.

Every time I fly into Missouri, the North Kansas City YMCA is the only location I choose to come to because it feels completely safe, friendly, and encouraging of a positive, healthy lifestyle. The entire atmosphere is awesome—from the morning coffee to the food pantry. I absolutely love the swimming area (though I'd love it if they invented a dye to show exactly when and where kids pee in the pool!).
What truly makes this place special is the staff. They are always alert, aware, and actively working to keep this a positive environment. I want to specifically praise Mr. Ernest, Ms. Brandy, Ms. Andrea, Ms. Reagan, and Mr. Tang for their incredible contributions and for making every single visit a positive experience.

Very few are taking the Body Balance class that took its place.
The staff at this location is so kind. That's what stands out to me more than anything in the facility. Immediately you feel welcome when you check in. As you leave, the make it a point to notice you and thank you for coming in.
As far as equipment, I wish the workout floor was bigger and had more machines. The cardio are has plenty of machines for use so there was no waiting there. The changing areas needed attention, but it was almost closing time on Friday so I'm not too surprised. The facility is very family and kid friendly and I would recommend it to anyone.

The kids area is great! Well staffed and the kids do fun activities rather than sit and watch tv. The gym has everything I need and there are so many great offerings as far as classes and amenities. It's been a great fit for my family.
