Options for swim activities and space to swim without being right on top of other users
Opportunity for improvement: The swimsuit dryer in the men's locker room needs to be replaced. It keeps spinning when the lid is lifted, this is a hazard for someone to reach their hand into the spinning portion
So many nice amenities. I have noticed that there are a lot of things that need repairs but I am newer to the facility so hoping they’ll get fixed?
I love the North KC Y, great facility and staff.

The Y is sort of my home away from home- I'm there 5-6 days a week. It's the people who make it special; from the friendly folks at the front desk, to the pleasant demeanor of the cleaners, trainers, etc. that one encounters. Some of the equipment is worn and shabby, not to mention obsolete; however,they try their best to keep it maintained, and Nicholas has worked hard to replace it. Apparently we're due for a major upgrade this fall, which will be really welcome!
When I approach the front desk to sign in, there are always smiles and a welcoming hello! I treasure those smiles and hello's and carry those with me as I walk up the steps to start my workout routine. Makes me smile as I work out - thank you NKC - Mare Kerr
I like it okay. But it seems most times, when I use your toilets in the women's restroom, I come down with a urinary tract infection. Then I am out for two weeks fighting the infection so can't play pickleball. I know, don't use the restrooms, but with all that running around sometimes you have to. I think there is a fungus or some other type of bacteria in the wet restroom since it is used by swimmers too. If there is a good antibacterial agent you can use in the toilets to keep down the bacteria I would appreciate it.

What I like about the Northland Y would be the team at the front desk. Always greeted with a smile and a good morning, and a goodbye and kind words when leaving. The facility is always clean. Very nice place to work out

I received a tour my first day from Latrice and felt at home immediately. After not being in a gym for 5 years I was nervous to come back. She was super helpful throughout the whole onboarding process and showing me around!
The Y family is alwys the best
I really love Enhance Fitness with Kerri M and Tai Chi with Terry K. Both classes really help to build a sense of community.

Great facility and staff, always clean and inviting. Love the large, sunny pool and river current at NKC with walkout deck and loungers for the warm months. NKC has a more spacious steam room and sauna compared to other locations. The indoor track here is wide and full of natural light.
