Math is a challenge for our daughter. When we started as a third grader, she was assessed at a kindergarten level. Now, even though it’s still hard, she’s working at grade level. The tutors are very patient and always help with homework.

Both my now teenage boys have been going to Mathnasium for several years. They enjoy working with the tutors and have met great progress in their math understanding even as they are now attending higher level math classes. My wish at this point is that Mathnasium supported calculus classes!

The improvement with my son Julian was amazing. He just started his first year of high school in August. He is proud to lead partner assignments. And he gets good grades he said he finally understands it! He hated math before. It's still not his favorite but he doesn't dread it and he's getting good grades. This is coming from Indian the school year in 8th grade with an F in math.
I like how it kept our kids engaged (intellectually) in math over the summer. Otherwise, they would not have been challenged. In the past, I've tried to give them worksheets during the summer but since I'm not a math professional, I don't really know what they need to learn or how best to teach them.
If it weren't for the games at the end of the hour and the prizes, it would have been way harder to get our kids to go.
I wished for my daughter, 11, that she could have gotten more punches on her card as quick as her little brother but she was working on harder stuff it took longer. Maybe you could figure out a better system for that to keep them motivated to earn prizes by progressing through their work.
Nick at the Arlington location is very responsive and helpful. Mathnasium has been a helpful way for my boys to reinforce what they are learning in school, and to have regular practice honing their math skills-- particularly in the absence of any homework assignments from school. My boys ' math grades are solid and I have peace of mind knowing they are getting the reinforcement and challenge they need, along with a caring and fun environment.

My daughter was not enthusiastic about math tutoring, but once she got through the assessment test and had a tutoring session, she loved it! It is exactly the right pace for her and she is happy to go. She wants to continue in the fall as well!
So far so good! We've just started this summer and my daughter (13) really feels like this will help her. We plan to sign up for the school year program.
