we started a couple years ago and my daughter had increased her grade from an F to an A in a matter of a month and a half. Now we are falling behind again as she is getting into more difficult math and i see a change for the better just after a few weeks. i am totally sold on mathnasium and the staff, they are caring and personable.
We are a month in and I'm pleased that my son is still motivated. Often with challenging academics he loses interest and wants to quit. Melissa has been wonderful. I really like her casual style because I never felt like it was "salesy" and only that she really wants to make this work for my son. The staff member who works with him on multiple days, whose name I am forgetting at the moment (she is older with blond hair)... she is very sweet and patient with him and he likes working with her a lot. The only thing I would change would be to open at 2PM and to potentially allow bookings on the half hours (ie 3:30-4:30). Maybe as you grow this might be doable schedule-wise.

Mathnasium has helped my son Bryce. Now math is his best subject. He thinks Mathnasium isn’t helping him because they aren’t working on what he’s learning in school. We had to explain to him that is because he’s so advanced now. Amazing what Mathnasium has done for him.

Excellent facility and staff! My kids have come a long way since attending. The only room for improvement in my opinion is the appointment booking process. It requires you to complete a form for every appointment and child. I wish there was a login and you just select the date and time and save.
Mathnasium did a fantastic job with my 12 year old daughter. We are considering returning to tutoring at the beginning of next school year to get a head start in math!

The Point Loma center is fantastic. From Melissa running the operations to the talented and patient teachers getting it done over zoom. Has been a total lifesaver during the pandemic.

Mathnasium has helped my son become more confident in math. It is worth every penny we spend. It’s an investment into his future. He asked me what a mathematician does and he’s in the third grade. I told him if he likes math he could get a PHD and teach math one day. Mathnasium has done that. It is turning a struggler into a lover of math over time.

Best math Instruction- they really care.
The center manager Melissa is awesome. She is always helpful and in a great mood. From the moment you walk into the center she starts your child’s session out right. The instructors are top notch. Engaging and patient, but they also push your child to try concepts that are challenging for them. I highly recommend mathnasium for every kid, whether they struggle with math or just want to push themselves to do more challenging math.
