Dr. Kaplan was the best--a mixture of warmth and compassion mixed with just enough clear technical medical advice and skills to perform a miracle. I thought evaluation and treatment would drag on for a few days or weeks and I might get a little better. I was in and out in an hour and feel great with hope for the future.
My experience with JOI has been excellent so far. When I called to make the initial appointment, Victoria was exceptionally helpful. She listened to my concerns and immediately began telling me what she COULD do (as opposed to what she COULDN'T do which is what I hear so often in dealing with medical facilities). The receptions were professional and friendly. I was seen quickly by the nurse and the X-ray technician, Janet. Janet was so kind and especially careful that she didn't cause any additional pain as she did the X-ray. I saw Dr. Doward's PA, John Tierney. He listened and showed concern. He explained what the X-ray showed and that we would need additional tests (MRI) to determine the extent of injury.
Assuming that the scheduling of the MRI is completed as efficiently as everything else has been done, I'll be very happy with my treatment. Based on my prior experience with JOI, I expect that to be the case.
