Nous avons trouvé AmeriSpec très organisé et sympathique pour les acheteurs d'une première maison. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le fait que des tests supplémentaires soient fournis sur la même facture et la facilité d'accès à d'autres services. Notre inspecteur Dany Dumont nous a très bien expliqué tout ce qu'il avait à faire et s'est montré très sympathique et professionnel. Nous avons apprécié son expérience et son processus. Professional, knowledgeable and couurteous
Amanda was very thorough during my home inspection. She explained everything she was doing in detail, and even took the time to call me afterward to discuss my concerns. She helped me understand the report and prioritize which issues might be most urgent. She is very kind, patient, and sympathetic—she understood how stressful this decision was for me and put herself in my position as another mom. She answered every question I had and gave me clear, professional advice to help guide my decisions.
Before choosing Amanda, I had requested quotes from two other inspectors: one charged $1,100 but couldn’t show me an example report (which Amerispec does on their website) or include any extra testing like an air test, and the other was $50 higher than AmeriSpec. Compared to Amanda, who has a bachelor’s degree in science and many years of experience, I felt that I was getting much better value for the $650 + $350 rush air test.
Josee, the office manager, was also great—she was very prompt in getting me the test results and inspection report in time for my conditional offer. My request was last minute and a bit rushed, but she still made sure everything was done quickly and that the air test could be done at the same time, even on short notice.
The only small downside was that I didn’t realize the air test would only include three samples (one outside for comparison, and two other indoor areas). I had assumed it would cover the entire house, especially since I mentioned the basement was an area of concern and had highlighted it in the seller’s declaration. So when I found out the basement wasn’t tested, it did stress me out. But in the end, Amanda cared enough to call me and apologize for the miscommunication. She reassured me that, based on her visual assessment and humidity readings, there was likely low risk of an issue, and she even took extra care to test the bedrooms with the attic open to make sure the kids wouldn’t be exposed to anything concerning.
I know that Amanda and Josee’s intentions were good—it was just a small oversight. Overall, I really appreciated how Amanda went above and beyond to help me, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone else buying a home!
