The welcoming the class the instructor
Lovely studio with good facilities.
Great enthusiasm from the teachers , they really know how to make classes fun. It probably is less like a yoga class and more like an aerobics class with the intensity of the workout and focus on handstands
great facilities and teachers
The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Loved the "star and snake" workshop with Alice and Chloe (who are great!!) and also love Carla.
I belong to another gym but have come to yours several times because the instructors are so great - love that they have the freedom to teach more advanced moves.
And the atmosphere of BML Surry Hills is lovely too.
Professional, clean and caring.
I enjoyed the class, but I found that the instructor didn't make many corrections or help less advanced students. I let her know that I had a back injury, but at no point did she say, if you have a back injury don't try this etc, I am aware of the risks and therefore did not do any exercises that I thought would be risky, but it would be good to give advice, especially since she asked if anyone had injuries at the beginning of the class. All in all I enjoyed the class, it was probably too advanced for me.
Love Vanessa's prenatal yoga class!
I really appreciated the welcoming atmosphere, the assistance, understanding and patience Sonia provided in the introductory class, it was incredibly reassuring and encouraged me to come back and really throw myself into a Yoga practice.
That non members can participate in the Pilates workshop
Great class and really enjoyed the instructor
I can never get into the early morning Pilates classes.
Great timetable, mostly good teachers.
Clean and modern facilities and equipment. Studio has lovely calming vista featuring canopy of trees from the park across the street. Easy free off street parking. Instructor was very considered in his instructions and routine, and ensured safety was top priority.
I love our teachers, offerings, team and the facilities :) And the fact we bring amazing Vinyasa and a safe space for students to grow and have a positive impact on their lives. So happy to be a part of this team!
Christian is awesome
Everyone is so friendly. I love the tea. And like that the yoga teachers are part of the reception team.
Want to join more class without heating the room
It's a personal thing. Some of the teachers are more traditional, I prefer the progressive ones with modern music and without the yoga language.
Quality classes and friendly staff
Friendly,enthusiastic,knowledgeable and very helpful.
Everyone is so friendly and helpful.
Smaller class sizes
Mandy is an incredible teacher. She combines excellent technique and mindfulness with clear and descriptive instruction.
the essential classes are terrific. The online booking system is easy to use
I like the actual classes - but the limited spots for pilates is a concern - what's the point if you can't easily book (especially the align - which beginners need to do- - it's like some scramble and constant monitoring of your email to see if a class pops up + when they do if you are not onto it immediately the class is taken (usually) within a minute or two
I raised this concern is a very politely worded email (via your contact page) the day I joined (3 days ago) - and I have not had a reply. Which is also disappointing
Teacher selection and number of classes available
I've been doing yoga on and off for six years. The last class I did at Body Mind Life I got yoga shamed. I'd been sick for a week and it was my first class in 10 days. In a class of 60+ people I went into child's pose after the warm up because I felt light headed - the instructor said to the class at large 'I'm not commenting - but if you need to go into child's pose after 10 minutes you need to reevaluate your choices'
The class i took recently wasn't as good as it used to be. Yoga is a place take the time and slow down. I felt this class was in a rush. But perhaps times are changing in the yoga world.
fantastic!

Some instructors could do with being more friendly and understanding. I attended a class and had to leave quickly at the end due to physical problem. The instructor blocked the door saying I needed to wipe my reformer. I understand the importance of it and I always do so, but on this occasion I really needed to leave the room quickly and said to the instructor "I really have to go", the instructor said "I don't care, you have to wipe your equipment". Despite the fact that she saw my hands shaking and me being near tears, she physically prevented me from leaving.
I understand that rules are rules but instructors should understand that people are people and things can happen. I was not in a position to tell her why I needed to leave, but my saying so should have been enough. I left feeling very distressed and vowed to never purchase a pack again. Fortunately I attended another class with a more understanding and less rigid instructor which improved my overall impression.
