Approach and quote not within my budget

Quote exceeded all other quotes by $10k. Design ideas over engineered as well. Not building a whole new room just a window.
I am just waiting for one other bid- but I am very pleased with Beltway Builder's bid and with Aaron, the project manager who visited me and wrote up the bid. He is very knowledgeable and was very patient with my questions.

Pricing we went with another company within the budget
I received multiple quotes and this company was far higher than any others—besides, when I received the written quote by e.mail, the $550 was ‘minimum” cost just for the truck to come out. This is one maple tree in my front yard with no leaves and special lifting equipment is not needed. I would never recommend this company to anyone

Never heard back regarding the estimate. Left VM for technician and still no callback. Call the main office and get VM or bounced around before getting a real person

I had under estimated the cost, so looking to see how much I can do myself. I am primarily interested in just getting quote for a significantly smaller project, just the stairs area.
