Great c quotes prompt and professional.
Cost of the project would not be a good investment. If we were just getting started in our home and planned to stay for at least 10 years or more we might go ahead with the project. Even with a 15 to 20 % savings on heating and air conditioning there is no logical pay back in time. True there will be a convenience factor to consider but not at the cost involved.
At this point in reviewing our options to reduce cost the only way would be to reduce the project size, ie just do the upstairs windows, (11) and see where that cost comes in at? If I use 19 total windows divided by your total cost estimate of $35,487.00 = $1,868.00/window for an appropriate cost of $20,600.00. That to is extreme in my view for a partial install.
We are not interested in vinyl windows as we already have a quote for all of our windows at $23,000.00.
So, we probably will stay as is. True the current windows are somewhat inconvenient but we have lived with them for 30+ years.
Over priced for what we wanted done.
We needed a1×1' space in ceiling replaced.
We wanted the replacement to cover 4×4'.
The price Quoted was to replace whole ceiling.
Measuring was done by laser , it was not discussed what would be done. Told I would receive a quote via email .
I feel they didn't want to do this work for us .

the guy who came to my place to measure my windows and doors didn't get back to me for over two weeks. I had to write them twice and call them to remind them to send me an estimate. Then the estimate didn't have a type of door we'd discussed, so now I guess I'm waiting again for that person to provide that to me. I didn't get an ETA so it's a never-ending game of waiting around without the confidence these people even want my business.
