Have used service for both my parents and have no complaints on the care they have received

My Mom is 95 and very physically limited and weary of life. She really appreciates continuity and someone who behaves like they care. She is also not good at making requests or demands. The nurses have been mostly excellent but one girl just sat around and didn't know what to do and Mom didn't want to ask for too much. She just wanted her to leave because she is too tired for conversation but the girl said she had to complete her time. I gave Mom some ideas to ask for certain needs to be addressed and that worked . The workers are very kind and that is paramount.

For an airport pick-up service for my mother (i.e. meeting & transport home), all of the staff I dealt with were very understanding of my nervousness about having 'someone else' meet my mother and take care of getting her home. My mother has some cognitive decline, and I feared she would have great difficulty managing any unexpected events in a busy and confusing airport, e.g. if the person meeting her was late and my mother was left wondering what to do. I was promptly notified when the caregiver arrived at the airport (well in advance), and when she had successfully met up with my mother, which gave me great peace of mind.

Consistent care and monitoring from Martha. The matching/set up process was quite thorough as well....and I was matched with a compatable nurse.

One thing your office staff could improve on is follow up to inform me of booked upcoming appointments....and who is coming. As a customer and patient, I've got enough on my plate right now...it shouldn't be my responsibility to chase this information up...you need to be more on top of that. It also seemed to me that there needed to be more communication between head office and the satellite offices....some supplies that were to be delivered here prior to the Nurses first visit were not delivered.

The professionalism that I witnessed with my care designer and the honest and genuine truths that she gave me and my families situation was so welcome, so needed and so amazing. The service was implemented immediately (basically next day) and the urgent situation of my dads critical and failing health was taken care of. The wonderful care aid has given him a wonderful companionship that we all don't realize we need until we are in such dire situations as he was in. In addition this service has removed (for me, his youngest son and only caregiver around) an insurmountable stress. This has given my father a new lease on life, a much higher quality of life than what he was previously living which is the real win, but in addition and equally as important it has liberated me from my daily stress of worrying about my fathers physical, emotional and psychological state of affairs. Now I can focus back on my life and have higher quality visits with him which is the way it should be. God Bless Nurse Next Door!!!
