Friendly staff members, great music and very clean plus good equipment for every part of your body 🍑 💪🏽👌🏽😉Gym and facilities 💪🏽♥️
The trainers for fitness classes are excellent, as for gravity which Ive just started.
Now that the showers are working again I am so happy, but it was difficult in early 2026 with lack of hot showers. The climbing wall instructors are exceptional and go way beyond what their job require. For at least 3 years the Ladies shower room is in need of renovation and the cracks and gaps in tiles and drains get filled with mould and bacteria.
I often recommend Westwood to friends, some of whom have joined, but I always have to tell female friends about the shower room, which is a pity.
Apart from that I'm giving WW Clontarf a 10!

Variety
It is spacious in all departments. Friendly atmosphere. Has something for everyone, great variety of activities. Friendly staff in all areas I attend.

I just wanted to raise a question and get some clarification on a couple of gym floor rules that have been recently enforced during classes.
Firstly, regarding the no-bags rule. I usually bring a small Lululemon cross-body bag onto the gym floor to hold my phone, headphones, water bottle, and towel. Without it, my belongings end up spread out on the floor, which feels less tidy and less hygienic than keeping them contained in a small bag. I’ve been told off for having this bag with me, and I’m a bit confused as to why a small, unobtrusive bag isn’t permitted when loose items on the floor appear to be acceptable. I’d appreciate understanding the reasoning behind this rule.
Secondly, regarding the footwear rule during squats. I’ve been told I cannot squat in socks and must wear shoes at all times. I take my running shoes off when squatting as flat feet provide better stability and form for this movement, which is standard practice in strength training. I was told this was due to the risk of dropping a weight on my foot, however my understanding is that a lightweight running shoe would offer little protection in that situation anyway, so I’m struggling to see the practical safety difference.
I really enjoy the classes and the gym overall, and I’m not trying to challenge rules for the sake of it—I'd just genuinely like to understand the rationale behind these policies, or whether there’s any flexibility.
