I like the class variety offered and the late morning/noon class times for Seniors. I love the deep water classes and the aquatic area.
The Y has quite a few options of recreational activities including the pools, large gym, upstairs exercise area including group exercise areas and a walking/running 2-lane track.
The place is kept very clean, equipment is well maintained, and has very friendly employees and guests.

The friendliness of staff. I love the classes I take, Silver Sneakers, Aquafit and deep water !! Fun but very hard work in a good way. The new small group classes I think will be a welcoming addition!

Great employees, family atmosphere, the facility is clean, neat and organized. There are many options to make up a fitness plan that's just right for you.
I like that it's in a walkable area of town. I work at Town Hall across the street a an urban planner. After a lunch workout I walk past the library, a park, and into downtown for a sandwhich and maybe a coffee. Of course the amenities at this Y are world class, clean and new....but it's the location that will continue to make this YMCA a true community anchor as the town grows.

Once Parish Ave becomes the vibrant and highly used pedestrian/bike route that it is destined to become, I'd hope that this Y would allow the Parish Ave facing doors to be an additional entrance. I love the YMCA and my daughter loves the summer camp. Thanks Y!
Marina has done a wonderful job organizing and making swim lessons so great! The swim instructors are incredible! They work so well with the kids and meets the group where they are at! The swim instructors make swim lessons fun and enjoyable while the kids are still learning!!
Plenty of new equipment. Lots of room to workout. Staff is nice.

Instructors - instructors are warm and welcoming, encouraging and upbeat; they put my kids at ease and help them at their individual pace and level.
Clean - facilities are clean and well maintained
The water is warm, the facility is nice, and the chemicals don’t give me a headache. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. My son was accidentally signed up for stage 3 lessons when he needed to be in stage 1 lessons and they were able to switch him seamlessly.

I like the guidance we receive on how to make our little ones feel comfortable in the water. My son was never scared of being in water, but still he’s much more confident now than he was before starting swim classes. He is 20 months old and just had his 7th class today. I’m looking forward to continuing his journey and watching him grow into a confident swimmer!
The Johnstown YMCA is always open when I need to exercise. The guy who keeps the Y clean is the most hard-working person at the Y.

It's clean and the staff is very friendly. It's usually not busy and a good variety of activities to choose from.

The group excercise instructors are fabulous . Pilates and Yoga specifically. Really got be back to exercising again. Building is well maintained and so clean
