I really like everything about this gym
Val has been a great instructor taking the time to work with both of our sons who are very new in the water. She doesn't rush them to complish new skills but instead goes at their pace to build their confidence. She wants her students to have the confidence they need to save their lives in a water emergency if needed, not just be able to swim for fun.
The child watch is the best thing/feature ever,the staff is amazing and accommodative.
They are amazing and caring crew. Literally every single one of them. My boy is the wild child and takes a lot of patients and they handle it with ease. :) The Whitley YMCA family is the best part of My family's week.
The employees do a great job entertaining my 7 year olds. They’re always excited to go see what craft or activity they’ll get to do.
The instructor for the toddler water exploration classes is great with the kiddos!

Interactive and smooth pace
I had a great experience in the A/B swimming lessons for my daughter at the Lehman location. It was much better than the gymnastics class at the Dawson Creek/Parkview location which had no instruction or participation from the instructor. The swim instructor was awesome.
We love the Y and the swim instructors. They deeply care for the children in there care and helping the child to learn not only water safety but to become a swimmer.
Clean place and friendly staff
The environment is clean, the staff helpful. You never have to wait to long for equipment.
My strength and stamina are better than ever due to the Y’s various class offerings and the outstanding instructors. I have met so many friendly people and have made long lasting friendships. I love the sense of community that is fostered by the Y and always feel welcome by Y staff.

Cleanliness, range of available classes
Turbokick instructor Jen is so much fun I don’t think of the heart pounding exercise as “work.” I drive 35 minutes to take her class even though another Y is 5 minutes from my house. Give that gal a raise!

The whole environment is fun,friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The programs are wonderful for people of all ages! Many different and challenging classes! The personal trainer I'm using is great!
