family friendly!
Consistent class offerings and instructors (I mainly do yoga) and good pool with life guards for lap swim. Nice staff and atmosphere.
The facility is beautiful. The aqua fitness class was highly spirited and creative. However the pool was over crowded - I suspect over capacity as I and others around me couldn’t exercise full-out. Also I always wonder about health issues with overcrowding, especially in a pool.
On another note the distance from my home (Brier Creek/Durham area) makes it impractical to drive on a regular basis.

Went above and beyond with getting me active and set up. She was helpful when I told her that our current gym was not letting us out of our contract for a month. I am so happy to be at the YMCA and so is my family.

Water fitness
Kerr was formerly my geographically closest Y when I lived in Wake Forest. With a move to N Raleigh 3+ years ago, I basically transferred to Finley. With that said, I played pickelball at Kerr on Tuesday of this week and found everyone to be so very friendly. A woman who I had recently met at Finley was there and she invited me to the thrive luncheon, scheduled for the very next day. I attended and connected with other folks as well. I am grateful for the Y community and the kindnesses shown by its members.
i like the app and all the selections from different classes and different times and different locations. so clean and good vibes
The discounted membership fees and available childcare have made fitness goals accessible for me. Thank you so much!
Staff are nice
The Y has a way of forgiving old balances for people who are really trying to commit to a weight loss journey; but may not be able to afford the monthly membership fee On Top Of other crucial expenses like supportive sneakers/insoles, sports bras, supplements, lab work, maybe even trainers.
Those on Disability live with a double whammy.
So offering things like your hardship scholorship and partnerships with various insurance companies are a real saving grace. I’d live at Kerr.
The indoor and outdoor pools, courses, and the gym are my family's main stay. The staff is always friendly, and the pools are always clean. Would definitely recommend kerr y for anything fitness related.
I love my water classes. The trainers are great!!
The staff is very friendly
It is definitely a judgment free zone, and the ladies are so nice and encouraging in all of the classes.

It's been great experience. Would like some more spin/yoga/pilates classes at 8am or 7am slot as it's difficult for office going people to attend 9am slots
