I love the friendly staff, excellent instructors, variety of group fitness classes offered, and the two hours of child care each day. I’ve been attending the Kerr Y for almost 10 years now, and I see a few things I’d love to see changed there. It would be great if the child care could open at 4 or 4:15 so that we mamas of littles could attend the 4:30pm classes. That is the sweet spot after older kid school pick up and before heading home to make dinner. But the classes start at 4:30, and the child care doesn’t reopen until 4:45. Also, the group fitness classes are so popular that they are getting very full. Studio 2 can’t accommodate all of the classes, and the cycle studio is a pain bc we have to stay after to put all of the bikes back in the room. I would love it if you would consider closing the racquetball courts (which are not nearly as popular as the group fitness classes, and only two to four people can use them at a time) and turn those rooms into another group fitness studio/s. This would better maximize the use of facility space and cater to those who want more group fitness classes- which is a lot of us at this point! Thanks!

I was previously a member of this YMCA for many years and because of heal reasons couldn't continue to attend. The location and facilities are even more up to date than when I was attending.
Banks D. Kerr YMCA is amazing place, Top staff who are kind courteous and well infomred. They are always willing to help. The building is well maintain as well as up to date. Equipment is very well taken care of . Trainers and instructors are always available when yoy need them. Always willing to guide you. Many nice programs are available for all age (the very young, teenages, young adult and seniors. You couldn't ask for more. Most important the people that use the YMCA are also kind a friendly and look after each other, especially concerning senior.
As a senior I am pleased with my experience at Banks Kerr Family YMCA.

I love the classes and instructors, however the "reservation" system is terrible! Several of the classes I have attended have had plenty of spaces left! It is a disservice to everyone that there are spaces left in a "full" class!
At another Y we had to arrive early and got a "ticket" there was 1 ticket per space so once the "tickets" ran out the class was full. You handed your "ticket" to the instructor as class began and that was the attendance. It was a fair system for everyone as you actually had to be present.
Cuqui Dancing and Kelly Yoga… can you top that!!

The Kerr Y is always clean and the employees are super friendly. It is a very family friendly welcoming environment.
Variety of programs. Especially having both indoor and outdoor pools. Still looking for back extension machine you took out. Nothing like it and it's needed.
