Exceeds all of my needs.
I like the instructors at the Y, I feel like they really care about their classes and the work they do. I do think there could be a couple changes that would greatly help: 20 lb dumbbells and more straps/anchors in Studio A, many times they fill up during classes and it would benefit all of us greatly as they are a wonderful workout tool. Additionally, the air conditioning doesn't often seem to be turned on early in the mornings during 5:15 and 6 am classes. That would be a big help for those of us there early for class.

Nice facility and instructors.
I have been a member for years and have always been happy with the YMCA value. Especially after the NIR center was rebuilt after the fire, the facilities are GREAT. But only recently have I had the time to take classes. I am BLOWN AWAY by the quality and attitude of the instructors. I take several ones now that I have schedule flexibility, and every instructor is amazing in their own way. Naydi, Susan, Caroline, Priscilla, Lucilla, Gordan, Alyssa, and Natalie are the ones I use every week. "Jocks" are a dime a dozen but these folks have each taken the time to KNOW MY NAME. They CARE. I watch it, I probably more closely than they realize! My biggest regret is that I have no mechanism to tip them anonymously. The value for the $52 a month is fantastic!
The only thing I am not nuts about is the smell in the men's locker room. It is consrtantly cleaned and I see this every day, but somehow the toilet area never smells fresh even after it has been cleaned, the locker room funk faded about 2 weeks after the new carpet. Not a huge deal I do not expect the Four Seasons, but I would wipe down every locker and surface with Chlorox every night if it were my place.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There are always people around the gym to ask questions and get direction from.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and bright. The pool, when it is the right temperature, is fabulous. I love the deep water aerobics classes!

Efficient, quick in and out if that is what I want that visit. Times of camaraderie are great in the Men's area with good conversation and friendliness.

What is NOT to like about the Nir Family YMCA?! I love the vast variety of classes; the friendly, down-to-earth people ~ including staff and fellow members; the state-of-the-art equipment; and proximity to home. It has become part of the social fabric of my life and I'm so grateful for the Y!
