Fun classes
Very challenging, but if we could keep up with cleaning in all areas, we would be a 10!
The staff and the classes offered are really good.
I love the barre and yoga classes
Excellent yoga instructors. Overall friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
Everything. I always use the free exercise room, the weight machines (Allon is great), the lap pool and the family locker room. Looking forward to using the jacuzzi.
There are so many class options offered at the YMCA. You have bodybalane, yoga, pilates, water aerobics, light classes for older adults, pickleball, racketball. Really, there is not much the YMCA doesn't have.
LOVE the variety of classes and the ease of signing up for the classes on the app. Also, staff are incredibly kind and helpful. And it’s especially awesome that Allon greets every person by name as they arrive at the top of the stairs where he is stationed. Pretty incredible that I only told him my name one time and yet he AlWAYS greets me by name—and everyone else as well!
The set up of equipment and flow of the building. The staff is so helpful and nice at this location. Comfortable atmosphere!
A strong sense of community that is focused on wellness and health.
Friendly atmosphere and helpful and courteous members and staff.
Very clean facility, good staff.
Just how clean it is!
Friendly, helpful staff to assist our participation in various activities and exercises,
Wide variety of services to individuals and families
Great facility!
May I recommend that you monitor who actually attends the pickleball time they have signed up for? On Monday we only had 18 people and that means that 6 didn't show. And others wanted to get into the class. Midtown has people check in on paper.
Yes I really like it.

First, I love the YMCA. I've been to YMCA locations in at least 100 cities. But the NIR YMCA is my home Y, and I really think it's great. The staff is friendly and helpful.
BUT PHONES !!! People are on their phones in the locker rooms. In the bathroom and shower area. In the weight rooms. Sitting on the machines. Basically everywhere.
Phone use in those areas is specifically prohibited according to the RULES of the YMCA. But nobody is enforcing it. I see it happening, it only takes me five seconds to assess each room I enter. Maybe you can find an employee with the skills necessary to see it happening.
If you have a rule but don't enforce it, does this mean that anyone is free to ignore any rule at any time? Do I really have to shower before entering the pool? It's rarely enforced, so ...
Everything! Awesome folks at the entry desk, clean facilities and smiling helpful staff wherever you are training or swimming! Just can’t be beat!
I love the YMCA because it has everything I need. Staff is very kind and patient and knowledgeable. The place is clean and organized and I feel safe.
The people are kind, the facilities are nice, signing up for things is easy, the app is good. Not any bad to say really.

Doesn't get any better than the Wilmington Y whether it's the Nir location or Mid-Town! They have so many things to offer at state of the art facilities. Nationally known, respected, & innovative. I was one of the first members when the Y moved from downtown to the current location on Market St. As a child, I lived 1 block from the Y & would walk there a lot. There was very little traffic on Market St at the time.

YMCA offers a variety of activities that other gyms don’t offer. It’s more of a community atmosphere than other places and the people that work are very helpful and pleasant.
