I think the YMCA is fantastic compared to our last gym which was filthy. The Y has tons more equipment and amenities.
I have a concern though about parking in the future when the new sports fields are introduced. Has any thought been put into extra parking?
Every morning it seems the parents from the school across the street take up many parking spaces when they drop their kids off to school. Not sure if that is designated for them, but puts a real strain on the Y members and they are voicing it almost every day. Extra parking designated for those fields is definitely needed!

The facility is nice and open with quality equipment and programs.

Aerobic class for seniors and walking track for rainy days.
It offers the physical fitness machines and weights that are what we usually come in for.

The staff is great and friendly making you feel welcome. There is a wide choice of machines, classes and activities to make your workouts fun and enjoyable. I also like the Christian principles and Bible verses that are on the walls of the facility.
The staff is friendly and the swim team is well coached.
Large space with a variety of ways to work out - classes, free weights, machines and other great options. Team sports available and open basketball. swimming and sauna are great amenities as well. wish pricing was better for those over 60 - hopefully no pricing increases.
It is a very welcoming place…the employees are always friendly and courteous…I can tell they love their job…it is always clean and orderly…I would highly recommend this YMCA to anybody…I have recommended it to friends and they all agree it is an outstanding place!

too many things to like about Sumner Gordan Family YMCA.. Not many businesses have 1-2 dozen people in line at AT FIVE OCLOCK IN THE MORNING WAITING TO GET IN.
Just for the first 5 minutes of every morning track the average number of people PER MINUTE entering the building 0500am in the morning simply waiting to get in.
Great people, great programs, excellent trainers and an awesome facility. The equipment is always clean and in excellent working condition. The indoor track is great during the winter for walking.
I like the availability of amenities. I love that your pool is open before 4 pm. The swim classes are great and the main pool is set up at the perfect depth for my age 6 and 11 kids. The kids enjoyed basketball season and your summer camp prices make it possible for me to send both kids without breaking the bank! My husband enjoys your weight training areas - he just wishes you had more bench space during busy times; he's been showing up before the rush to keep the wait times down during his workout routine. I'm looking forward to enrolling the kids in a rock climbing class if I can get on early enough. Your staff is super friendly, great with the kids (one of them got my youngest over his timidness around water in his first 30 minute class), and always seems to have an answer for my many questions.

I love this YMCA! It's clean, the staff is friendly, the instructors are fantastic (especially Kim McLeod and Leah) and I enjoy the variety of activities and classes that are offered.
Love the Y. Lots of fun activities and fellowship of friends in a family oriented setting.

I love the YMCA! I love playing pickleball and taking classes. I love how friendly everybody is and the camaraderie I’ve built with the people I play pickleball with. I’ve raved so much about the great programs offered for children, that my daughter and her family joined the Y. I can’t wait to take the kids to classes and swim in the lazy river with them. I love the diversity at the way people are made to feel respected and accepted. Your staff is exceptional and they seem to enjoy working at the Y. They genuinely care about the members. I have not experienced any negative interactions with the members or the staff. The atmosphere at the Y is based on respect and acceptance.
