This is an amazing facility with very friendly staff, totally worth a half an hour's drive from Key Peninsula, thank you guys!
I wanted to share some feedback with you. We primarily come for the open gym volleyball - but lately, it has been extremely overcrowded, with 30 or more people trying to play on a single court. The people have to wait for their turn on the court for 3 or 4 games (close to an hour) which is a sadly subpar exercise experience and a very wasteful use of our time :(
The gym is large enough to accommodate 2 nets, and we've seen quite a few community center gyms do just that. Unfortunately, I don't believe there's the floor marking and an alternative set of pole holes needed to do that.
With this much interest for the game, perhaps you could add another day to the schedule, to make it an equispaced Monday - Wednesday - Friday?
And with the number of people that this open gym attracts, would you consider letting the players utilize both gyms, so a single net is serving optimally not more than 18 people, and definitely not more than 24?
Another strong reason to separate the players into two different courts is for safety and enjoyment of this _team_ sport. The novice players need to be given a chance to learn the game at their comfortable pace, have their time with the ball, and feel appreciated and successful in a team with a comparable skillset. While the more advanced players need to be able to practice and utilize their skills without the fear of injuring or being injured by somebody who might not yet be aware of the expected player and game dynamics, and not to be reduced to the lowest common denominator level, or hog the ball in an effort to cover up the novice teammates, and play "around them" so that their _team_ would not lose.
Some of the more experienced players might also volunteer to do quick training sessions in the novice court for those who would like to improve their skills, run some drills, etc. Would be great if the Y could have a few spare volleyballs for the people to use for that.
Hoping very much you guys find a way to rectify some of these problem spots to everyone's satisfaction because as I already said, we love this place and its spirit and want to keep coming regularly and frequently.
Happy New Year 2024!
Love this place. Staff is always pleasant and facility is clean and cheerful. You’re not made to feel like you don’t belong in this gym. Love the members who have physical challenges; striving every day to keep moving.
The ability for the Tom Taylor staff to provide consistently great access to equipment and classes has been something I have depended on since my family started our membership in 2009. Having a facility that is open every day of the week again is great for my ability to stay on track with my fitness goals. The staff does a great job of responding to requests for assistance and the facility exceeds my expectations for cleanliness and organization.

I love water aerobics. I wish I knew more about the machines but for now I'm happy with the pool.
Upbeat atmosphere, up to date equipment, access to exceptional personal trainers
Beautiful location, lovely facility, great people. Thank you!
All the staff are happy and pleasant and professional. And a big plus is that we see people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels, so we fit right in.
Very helpful, kind and friendly staff! The bathrooms are always clean.
Friendly safe environment, clean, good classes. Great parking. Good equipment. Great location
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great swimming facilities.
Friendly faces greet you at the door. Clean spaces and bathrooms. Classes for everyone. Inside track. Heated pool.
I recently upgraded my membership to include my two young daughters. The two ladies at the front desk were very patient and willing to help me figure out the best plan that fits my family's current lifestyle. I am excited for my two young children to grow up experience all the great classes that the Y has to offer.
It’s more than just a gym. It’s a community gathering point where people of all ages can gather in a positive environment.
Our family appreciates the variety of classes for kids. Especially the art and music classes. People are always surprised to hear all the different things you can do at our Y. The Y makes it so easy to try something new at any age.
Please don’t forget after-school and weekend classes for tweens! Advanced classes keep them challenged and engaged. From piano to painting to pickleball, the Y is a safe place for them to learn, grow, and make friends outside school.
Variety of classes. Fabulous staff - especially Shayla. Cleanliness and good variety of equipment.
The staff are kind and ready to answer any questions I may have. They also go the extra mile when needed.
Facility is clean as well as up to date with modern equipment at my disposal. Classes offered are well planed and fees, if requested, are reasonably set to accommodate many who may not have the means to obtain instruction elsewhere.
Staff is very friendly.
A very clean and friendly environment
People of all ages and shape feel welcome at this YMCA. Great place to meet new friends.
Very clean and good place to work to stay in shap
I get to work out by myself and I don't have to talk to anyone. Except for saying Hi or giving a smile. It's comfortable and energy flows. The Y is the best place to exercise and relax. And the Y has the best Pool & Hot Tub in the State. And I see that the kids & youth also have a Great time.
I love the TT YMCA! The atmosphere and people are great, it’s beautiful inside and feels safe. The only critique I have is that the yoga classes can get a bit full. Is there a bigger classroom we could move to?
Thanks!
Just overall a very nice facility
The layout and the high quality machines
I like the fitness classes available.
Down-to-earth great people throughout the facility (members and workers and volunteers), and it has all the amenities we need. Just as important, my husband and I absolutely love reading the verses on the board each time we visit. Time for prayer and reflection is good for all of us.
Thank you for all you do to make the Y one of our favorite places in the harbor.
Thanks for making all the investments in 2023. I know this is a difficult ask, but a cold plung pool would be awesome, the mens sauna and steam rooms needs a refresh. Other than that, love the place!
It’s amazing! I’m so thankful for you!!

Very friendly staff!😄
