Convenient location great staff
My experience with your facility was positive in every way.
I enjoy the senior classes, I like the vibe I get when I am there. I've met so many nice people. I love the Christian atmosphere.
location
The Tom Taylor YMCA has become for me and my spouse a kind of "town square" for us. We go there to work out, of course. Yet, every time we go we see old friends and make new ones. It is inspiring to see the many classes offered which serve a broad range of abled to disabled members. The staff is welcoming and professional from the moment we walk in the door until the moment we walk back out to the parking lot. Thank you Tom Taylor YMCA staff and volunteers!
I like the group exercise classes
The equipment, facilities, and staff
I always look forward to coming and that's important for my fitness system.
The Tom Taylor Family YMCA is a wonderful facility that provides many activities for children and adults.. There are a large number of activities like swimming, exercising, walking, biking,
The staff is very helpful to members.
Great gym.
Clean bathrooms, pool could be clear….
Nice and friendly staff.
The YMCA is like a family community that exercises. We have made many friends. It has great exercise classes that meet our individual needs. The staff & instructors are very friendly.
We like everything about the Y We appreciate the employees, love the classes and think the members of the Y are kind and respectful
My only complaint is that the parking is inadequate for the number of YMCA members. I also have reservations about parking when the sports area opens.
I would appreciate your comments regarding parking and the sports arena

CASSANDRA'S GENTAL YOGA CLASS HAS MADE A GREAT DIFFERENCE IN PHYSICAL AND MENTAL WELL BEING FOR ME. I AM GREATFUL TO HER AND THE YMCA FOR OFFERING THIS. SARA IS ANOTHER JOY...THANKS
Everyone wants to see you succeed! Everyone smiles, especially the ladies at the front desk scanner!
yay!
Many different classes & abundance of exercise machines. Cleanliness.
Great swim aerobics taught by Laura Lambion & Silver fit gym aerobics by Sara.
Friendly staff which contributes to fellow exerciser friendliness!
IT's a Nice place for families and people that want a clean friendly place to go get their exercise.
Everyone is friendly and helpful. The exercise classes are well structured with a lot of variety. It’s a fun place to go.
Very welcoming even at most busy time! Look forward to spending lots of time there w my son.
Weight Room set-up is great. The staff up and down are very caring. The prices are reasonable. Only negative thought I have, is the Main Gym doesn’t allow open basketball on Saturday, daytime. Kids leagues and then pickle ball after that. I am only coming on Saturday due to weekly work? Thanks.
Simply—-The people. The staff are great and they offer so much. Not just classes but programs for all ages
Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.
The facility is like some of the sports clubs I've been to in LA. I think it would be nice if the coffee bar made a come back!
And ... I wish that the Y had their design team for the PenMart community center (with indoor soccer, pickleball, etc.) I think the Port Orchard and Gig Harbor Y really have more of a 'club/lodge feel' inside and out.
Would love to see the Y add another facility since it feels like we are out growing this one. Classes are packed, parking is getting scarce, and pickleball is a long wait between games.
Perhaps another facility with indoor pickleball! I also think an addition of a synthetic ice rink for hockey and figure skating would be fun for the GH kids. (I haven't tried skating on synthetic ice, but I saw it on Tik Tok and it looked pretty fun. Oh ... and some type of bungy exercise class would be another fun addition.
Welcoming staff
A great place for everyone, even somewhat autistic people like myself. There is respect for everyone.

Generally delighted by the equipment I need and use at the Y. My biggest and very frustrating gripe involves patrons who feel like they own the machine. Those who sit on a machine for most of the time (most often on their phone) on that particular apparatus get in the way of those of use who do super sets and only rest a minute between reps.
Please encourage all members to allow people to jump in for a set while they rest. When you have five people just sitting on a machine and not exercising, it is like increasing the number of people waiting by five fold.
You could also ask patrons to leave their phones locked in the car or locker.
