The people! From staff to members everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The only negative comment is the Tempe Y needs more recumbent bicycles. The 3 existing ones are frequently all used. Please add more recumbent bicycles as they are used more than any other riding machines. The Tempe Y has a lot of vintage members...we need the recumbents!

Newly remodeled, fresh looking like the newer clubs. I've made many new friends here over the years. People who are like me.
Going to the Y is such a positive experience. The staff is friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Signing into classes is easy—no complicated pre-registration—just show up and have fun. I always feel happier after going to the Y.

The center is a community hub. Friendly and inclusive. Great instructors and classes. Location is excellent.

The tempe YMCA team is amazing! In particular, Donna H and her Gentle Yoga classes are very special and welcoming to all.
The only negative about the Tempe location (vs other valley Y locations) is the small size of the strength training area. Unless you come at off peak times it’s tough to find basic equipment open.
A great variaety of classes. A friendly, accommodating staff. Good equipment. I appreciate the small circuit room.
Friendly staff and many choices for classes, training, etc
You have lots of good hot water to shower up in, thank you. You are the only gym with a Glute Machine, thank you!
What I Do NOT like about Tempe YMCA or Downtown Lincoln YMCA:
The temperature in the locker room and shower room is way too cold, not just in the winter, but in summer as well. Please, It is ok by me to have a temperature of in the 80s in the summer, but In the winter you let the temperature plummet way below 70 degrees in the winter, and that is not good for Public Health, or mine.
I like the classes for older people.
I like the people I play pb with the people at the front desk the instructors I enjoy the classes u offer I try 2 come 4 days a week I also enjoy 1st Fridays and trips Donna offers 😉
I like atmosphere for chair yoga. Heidi is fabulous. I am excited to try mahjong too.
Close, friendly, good equipment
The staff, the classes, and the instructors are all fantastic. I have made some wonderful friends here at the Tempe Y. I look foward to going every morning.

Heidi’s chair yoga. Heidi’s spin class. We used to like Donna’s yoga, but it got too big. She’s still a good teacher though. Free weights are great. TRX is mounted too low.
People are friendly and family atmosphere.
