Friendly staff, available hours of operation (especially open on Sunday), not too crowded, and friendly clientele. Equipment is generally in good repair.
The people at the Y are always friendly and welcoming. I LOVE the yoga that Donna leads on Wednesday and Friday, and enjoy the Monday yoga as well. Both have made a big difference in how I feel and move.

I like the Tempe Y because it is convenient for me, has good assortment of exercise equipment that I use, and the staff is very friendly. I like the first Friday coffee and bagel get togethers which are always good for socializing. Also some extra events like holiday pot luck are great.

I love the Y. I have been going there since 1991. I was teaching and every summer I would swim every morning at the Y. I loved it. Unfortunately, our Y closed the pool and when it finally reopened years later with a limited schedule, it was not convenient. I also was so disappointed when they cemented in the hot tub and redid the women's showers and took out four toilets down to one. I think a woman did not design that one. So that is really my only complaint. I love my yoga class with Donna Horowitz. I love the staff at the Y. It is a great place to come except for the pool and I miss swimming.
Exercise rooms, parking and landscaping, pool have all been nicely upgraded. Bathrooms are overdue.
It’s a welcoming environment with classes and equipment for all levels. The staff and instructors are great. Grateful for my Tempe Y.
