Housekeeping , cleaning the floor of the gym and the flooring in men’s locker room. Secondly, the temperature in the facility in the summer, especially in the gym, is too warm.
Age appropriate workouts, Friendly and knowlegeable staff, welcoming members. It’s an all around great community for fun and fitness. My favorite groups are water aerobics, jump start, healthy back yoga and cycling. They are all great. Personal trainer, Santino, has taught me a resistance training workout that is meeting my personal goals.
The gym is amazing with state of the art equipment and everything I could ever want, but the people here are what really shine. The are warm and welcoming and are doing amazing work for our community.

I have always liked the classes I have attended at the Y. The instructors are great, as are the subs. All the staff is very friendly and helpful and makes me feel welcome.

All of the staff at my YMCA, take ownership in providing great customer service to all of the members at the Y. The staff is always very positive and friendly in making sure our needs are taking care of.

The friendly people and instructors and its close to home and work.
The front desk staff members are very helpful and want our experience at the Y to be enjoyable. And to also help us reach our goals of regular exercise to be more healthy and physically fit.
We also work with our personal trainer to achieve these goals.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. I like that in the gym there is no loud music like in all the other gyms I have belonged to. The area is always clean, and there are sanitizing wipes and sprays available in different places. Most people actually wipe down the equipment, which is also different from other gyms.
Even though I have not been able to participate recently, I like the variety of classes available.
Overall, the Y just has a very pleasant, welcoming atmosphere.
I only wish the weekend hours were a little longer.
Workout equipment is in disrepair a lot, but still is more inclusive than others. I like being able to go to any Y with my membership. The water in the showers is always hot, even though they deep the temperature very low in the locker room even in the summer. In the winter the locker room and shower room is freezing cold and I with they would keep it at least 70 degrees in the winter. In the Summer I do not mind if the locker room and workout areas are 80 plus degrees.
Love the Tempe YMCA. My wife and I really enjoy working out with Rebekah in the group classes she leads. She is an excellent instructor!!
I like how it’s generally not overcrowded like most gyms. That’s what sold me in the first place. I can usually find a machine to use without waiting forever for it. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming , but also leaves you alone to jam out to your music and be in your zone :)
Tempe Y is staffed well and is a very friendly place. The equipment is in very good shape. People from all walks of life and economic backgrounds are part of things.

I have made many good friends at the YMCA. I love Heidi's Spin classes. The staff is very nice and helpful.

I love the Y, the people are nice, the gym is clean and not overcrowded. Rich at the front desk is wonderful and always asks how I’m doing.
I do wish some of the broken equipment was fixed with more urgency and the pool was open later.
I love Tempe YMCA. They are welcoming, kind and happy people. I attend a yoga class, which I love. I want to give kudos to Donna who’s our teacher. She is truly a 🌟asset to Tempe.
I’m also grateful to Tempe for not closing the YMCA during the parking lot remodeling. It was challenging at times but we all survived ; and I must say it’s looking beautiful!

Great location, equipment, classes, and times open. Friendly atmosphere, friendly and helpful employees. No huge crowds of college age. Fun to see little kids running around after school and summer programs.
Friendly staff and capable instructors. All are welcome.
