I would recommend the SW Y for any swimmer as the Olympic pool is fantastic. The water temp, cleanliness, open lanes, and communication whenever the pool is closed is excellent. I have not used any other of the facilities as my main focus was to find a pool to swim laps.
Also, during the summer months, the covered parking is a relief not to leave the car in the heat. The partially covered pool, with some lanes under the lattice is another plus for the summer.

I enjoy my experience at the Southwest YMCA every visit. I am always greeted warmly and feel that I am recognized and welcomed. The front desk always addresses all of my concerns and always gets problematic issues resolved within minutes. I am very comfortable there. The facilities have everything I need to maximize my exercise work outs. The area is kept clean. I will be participating in more of the programs offered there as I am now aware of the vast number of activities and programs that are offered there.

It's clean, has a great variety of programs and equipment.
I love going to the Y because you don't ever have to worry about it being overcrowded and waiting for machines. I usually go during the daytime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. so I'm not sure if it's more crowded early in the morning or in the afternoons. But I love the quiet, calm atmosphere and you're able to work out without judgment and the people there are actually interested in... Working out!
