We absolutely loved our swim lessons at White Rock YMCA! My older daughter had Audrie for the school-age class, and my younger daughter had Alayza for preschool in June 2026. Both instructors were so kind, patient, and encouraging. They made every lesson fun, and it was amazing to watch our girls become more confident and excited about swimming each week. Thank you, Audrie and Alayza, for making such a positive differenc, we're so grateful for everything you do!
The instructor, Hayden, was very knowledgeable about technique. He was patient with those of us with a fear of open water. He differentiated the lesson to apply to the skill level of all participants.
The swim lessons were great! The instructor was helpful and patient. Learned a lot of helpful techniques and felt more comfortable and confident after my lessons.
I have enrolled my nine year-old twin grand children, and swim lessons last summer as well as this summer.
I have found instructors Darby and Kaden to be impressive. I worked professionally with children and teens for 40 years and in observing both of those instructors was impressed with their patience, their developmental instruction, breaking down information into small pieces for children, smiling, and being encouraging. They often came over to give me feedback after each lesson..
We look forward to more swim lessons in the future.
I appreciate the swim instructors having control of their class and the class size being small when compared to other local programs.
The instructors are patient and friendly. The classes are relaxed. Safe environment.
Pace was great! He really worked on their stamina and shocked me with our kids being able to swim the length of the pool!!!
Lauren the instructor was friendly. My daughter enjoyed the class
Audrey was great!
We had a great experience. Audrey is wonderful with the kids and so pleasant to talk to. She has great energy and communicates well with parents. We’re starting another session in July and hoping the instructor will be as awesome as Audrey!
Thanks for all you do!
The instructors were really wonderful. Both Kenya and Hayden were patient and in tune with what our daughters needed for their lessons. I was very impressed with both of them.
Small class size, attentive and engaging instructors
Elijah was great. It was a great way to get babies used to the water and feeling comfortable.

We love our coach and the way it make the class entertaining and challenging.
Great instructors and pool atmosphere.
Everyone is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The gym is very clean and well equipped and has classes for every age and ability level. There are plenty of towels, parking spots, and cleaning stations. I’ve also taken advantage of their personal training and I’m very happy with my experience.
The layout is great. Lots of equipment and space. Love the stretch/ab area and how open it is. Plenty of treadmills always open when I get there at 6:30am each morning. Staff is friendly.
Clean environment friendly staff
Love to be at the Y. It's my second home. Easy to make friends. Great staff and equipment.
Cleanliness, staff friendliness, pools, groups, instructors, coffee.
I love the friendly staff, especially the childcare team. I also love the blend of ages that work out here. It is beyond inspiring and motivating to see members over 80 and 90 years old showing up, exercising, and going to workout classes. The group classes are my favorite; the YMCA team does an excellent job finding the best instructors!
Variety of classes, friendly staff, cleanliness, huge windows
The warm and inviting atmosphere, the classes offered, the indoor pickleball courts, and the variety of weights and other workout machines available.
The instructors are great with kids
