There are many classes to choose from as well as equipment to use, indoor pickle ball, etc at a reasonable price.
Friendly helpful staff
We have had such a great time growing the boys talent and teamwork over several years. We look forward to a couple more years of youth sports through the Y.
When I first arrived, I introduce myself to Daniel and he showed me around. He suggest I take an assessment and I did. The assessment was done by Chinma and she helped me to see areas that I need to improve. Overall, the staff is very nice.
Love the soccer league this year. First Baptist Academy is a great location for the games.
Just a great group of people throughout the place. Staff and volunteers are all very involved and you can tell they have a true passion for what the YMCA does and represents.

Would love even more child watch hours. Sunday perhaps!
And rethink more slots for Parents Night Out. Waiting in line for two plus hours to get a spot for PNO, Just so you can have three hours free on a weekend is actually counterintuitive.

I appreciate there are opportunities for our children. I do believe refs should keep coaches from hanging out in the middle of the girls and in the way of the goal.

The Y is an integral part of our whole family’s lives! We all use it: workouts for parents, child watch for kids, swim lessons for kids and laps for parents, soccer and ballet for both kids! Plus I can donate blood and use child watch. We love the White Rock Y!

It's organized, but I would like ymca to have more affordable prices so more childrens can enroll regardless of having to fill out an application

Staff is exceptional, facility is very clean and well equipped
We love the YMCA sports experience, it has been great. My one concern is that not all the referees are paying attention. Sometimes they’ll be on their phones, distracted, barely watching the game, so that the coaches have to step in and call when a ball is out, or who’s kicking it back in. One referee didn’t ever blow the whistle and so it was really confusing for the kids since they are learning. Towards the end of the game, he was watching a video that played a sound so we all stopped and asked if that was the whistle for the end of the game, and he said, “oh, oh yeah, (looking at his watch) that’s the game.”
Now, that was one referee. There is another young man who is very on the ball and helpful, and he did an excellent job. Everyone else falls in between these two kids. I’d say across the board, it’s 50/50 whether you’re going to get a referee who is doing their job or not. So maybe they need more training, or more incentive to do the job they’ve been hired for, beyond just personal integrity.
Friendly, great classes and instructors, pleasant surroundings...a great beginning to my day!
