I like the classes, everyone is friendly and welcoming and I feel supported there. I do not like working out, but going to the Y feels like a space where I can exercise with people who are not judgmental or pressuring.
In the morning most of the equipment is available and not a lot of hard core weight lifters making noise.

I have been a YMCA member for almost 20 years. It so happens I live in close proximity to 4 of the Dallas Y's but In the last two years I started frequenting the White Rock Y due to my kids school. This Y does a tremendous job with their front and back of the house staff. Everyone does a nice job making people feel comfortable and welcomed and the rooms & equipment are always in pristine condition. So appreciative!
I like the classes and the instructors and the mix of people. Everyone is really friendly and the instructors are all great!
The facility and great staff.
I would note that since the change of the location of dumbbells, it is more congested trying to find them and use them. The area is more crowded with it seems less benches. There is less room to get a dumbbell since the benches are located so close to the dumbbells when people are using them. Again, it is very crowded.
Also, the lower dumbbell weights are not being replaced and/or being carried to their old location area by folks and then not being re-racked. it would be great if more room could be made for the dumbbells.
Why were the dumbbells relocated? It would seem to make more sense to locate the larger free weight apparatus where they were previously located--where there are high ceilings and more space to accommodate them. Now, they are crammed into the low ceiling area where the dumbbells used to be located.
Just a suggestion.
Friendly staff clean
I love Nina’s Body Pump and Body Combat classes, what a workout! And fun! Nina is the best, full of energy and enthusiasm. We also love taking our grandchildren swimming in the summer. And Pickleball! YMCA White Rock is a really friendly space.
Architect and building committee designed a sun filled space that looks out to greenery as we work out. Staff and members are friendly.

It's a community made up of different people I already know from my neighborhood and many others I've met as fellow students and teachers of YMCA classes. The classes are great, the convenience is also important. And there are workout opportunities for both myself and my spouse.
Instructors, think we might have the best in Dallas!
I love the location and new facility with big windows and nice views of trees. Also the cybex equipment is my favorite. The staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is clean. Would be nice to offer better quality creamers for the coffee like the Park City location.
