For me, White Rock Y has been and is the ideal place to exercise. It is very well run by friendly management, with courteous and helpful staff. The building is clean and inviting. The equipment is always in good shape. The variety of exercise classes offered is great, and most importantly, the class instructors are the best! WR Y is a happy place to be. I've been a member of the YMCA for almost 20 years in both Dallas and Minneapolis and it's where I find challenging fitness classes with encouraging and friendly instructors.
The only negative comment I have for this location is the parking.
Marj Rash's yoga classes are the best! She's a truly outstanding teacher who makes sures every participant gets benefits from each pose and practice. She's why I keep coming back.
Irene keeps the place spotless. Front desk associates are engaging and helpful. Members are considerate and and respect facilities.

White Rock Lake YMCA is well run in every respect, except for one point.... SOME PEOPLE WHO HAVE BAD COUGHS are coming to work out, probably spreading germs to others. Very selfish of them. Please caution these folks in your e-mails.

I come back to the White Rock YMCA once a year when my main gym closes for maintenance. The WR-Y folks let me get a 1-month membership and it works out well. Place is clean, no loud music, and they open at 5am (I'm an early bird)! Nice to have coffee/tea as well. All good for me. :)
