We love the YMCA so much! It has become Community and fellowship with neighbors, a sweet time for our kids, and has great equipment to workout. We are grateful to be members!
Wonderful people who work at the Y! Great place to work out!
We have loved our time at the YMCA!!! We have aged out after this year but will recommend to other neighborhood families.
Love the classes!
By the end of the summer of 2024, my oldest son will have played just about every sport the Y offers. The Richardson YMCA is a great experience for anyone looking for a reasonable onroad to youth sports.
Friendly staff, well-maintained facility, and usually not overcrowded.
Great environment...friendly staff.
small clean friendly
Jayceon loves the YMCA , it was his first time ever playing flag football with a child that has autism .
The Les Mills classes, primarily Body Combat.
Everything! Especially workers. They are all very knowledgeable & helpful, always with patient and friendly attitude. Clean and safe facility with great group exercise classes and instructors. Easily accessible facility just need more parking space on weekend mornings.
I was so impressed with the commitment to sportsmanship and personal development- especially how the referees helped teach the kids (1st grade) during the games rather than punish or shame them. And also how the rules make sure everyone gets a chance to play and grow.
It’s a (mostly) laid back atmosphere for kids to learn their sport and what they do/don’t like!
Community, group classes, swim lessons and Rapid team, coaches and staff
The Richardson Y is a friendly bright place that is a comfort to everyone that attends for classes, exercise, kids sports or a game of racquetball. It gives me a mental lift every time as well as a physical boost. It's a bit older and a bit crowded equipment wise when compared to the "trendy" places but it has all of what you need.
The people are friendly and welcoming that is what sets it apart from other places.
My kids went through the sports and Adeventure programs and are still both members in different cities while in graduate school. That is my best advertisement for the Y.
My child is enjoys playing organized sports. He's not naturally gifted in athletics so the Y is a perfect fit for him to continue playing organized sports in an environment where he gets to play regardless of his ability, he learns and builds on this skill and builds friendships all under a no pressure.
Friendly. Good instructors. Great place for seniors and young families. It's more like a family than a business place.
Great class with Amy! She makes me want to go to class
People are warm and friendly and the classes are wonderful
The people that go to the Y are my neighbors and the greatest group of people!
It was a great experience! My son was new to the sport, but the league seemed focused on learning and growing as a player and team, not unhealthy levels of competition.
I like it so far.
Great in everything
Friendly employees
clean
Lots of classes and friendly people.
There are several things I like about the Richardson Y. The staff is friendly and they treat the members like family. I also enjoy the classes and knowledgeable instructors. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the members are friendly. One of the most appealing aspects about the Y is the camaraderie with the people and class members. Many times we enjoy having coffee after class, sharing lots of laughs and telling life stories.
It feels like home and I love my dance teachers.
friendly atmosphere
Your friendly staff, hot coffee and a nice setting to visit with friends.

The kids and families involved are extremely nice and the kind of people I want my children to be associated with.
I do wish there were more practices so the kids could get better
