The Lake Highlands YMCA is undergoing a total renovation that is going to be exceptional once finished. Already one of the few places you can find swimming lanes, plus new strength equipment and machines, and the expansion will be very nice upgrade for the local members.
We LOVE our Rapids swim team. Best coaches, best swimmers and fun and healthy way to spend our summers.
The Rapides swim team is great! My daughter has had a great experience with them. The coaches are knowledgeable and very supportive. Coach Xandra does a fantastic job with organizing everything and getting the team prepared to do their best.
Josh was always amazing. We got assigned someone different and she was great too. Eric who was the cordinator/mngr for them was great at assisting us with questions and getting started as well. We can't wait to come back next year.

The instructors, the class size, the class meeting options were all great. My child is confident and swimming on her own. I would recommend this to all parents who want to feel confident and want their children to feel confident while in the water.
The instructors are great with kids of all ages and my kids were excited to come back each time for their lessons.
I like the friendly family atmosphere and the lesson being taught that you can compete against them and want to win but still cheer the other team on!
Very professional and good with the kids
We love the Rapids! The coaches are all fabulous and they have very high quality instruction for the little 3 year olds all the way to the high school swimmers. The coaches really KNOW my kids and customize their instruction just for them. They make swimming FUN while also challenging them to be better swimmers!

The LH YMCA is a nice, clean, safe facility. I appreciate the “family” feel in the gym. The equipment is great. Staff is friendly. I’m looking forward to the updated facility!

Employees are very friendly and helpful. Even though they are going through an expansion they are doing their best to still accommodate their members which I can see is challenging and still have a positive attitude!
The employees are wonderful. Yoga classes are great. Need more spin classes. An adult weekend intro to improving your swim skills would be a welcome addition.
