Ben was patient and a very good instructor. The time limit of 30 min is too short.
Great location, very friendly and professional staff, variety of programs
Convenience. Fairly easy to access everything. Helpful people.
I love there employees they’re very respectful
I love that the Rockwall location is a “one stop shop” and that there is something for each of my family members. Weights, cardio equipment, child care, fitness classes and all of the sports for the kids! The gym is clean, staff is friendly and I’m so happy we joined!
Very clean rooms, gym and pool area.
Staff are already friendly and helpful and the facility is always neat and clean.
This is a very nice location, and the staff is polite and helpful every time we visit.
I like exercising there
Variety of things to do…
Clean and friendly
Awesome experience and facility… Great staff, and I love the senior exercise classes.
We have really enjoyed our Y membership!
Convenience
The preschool soccer was very age appropriate. My son had a great time and learned a lot.
We loved our soccer experience!
Overall good experience for the kids. At times the officiating has left something to be desired. I would still recommend it, kids need outdoor activities, teamwork and competitive activities for their development. This does all of that.
People, the vibe, the classes, the equipment, and most importantly the mission statement
It is a great place to find regular exercise for maintaining good health and fellowship with a variety of interesting people all in one place.
Friendly staff. Great location. Everything we need for exercise is there.
As a relatively new member (3 months), I’m pleased that all of my initial impressions have proven true. The staff is friendly and helpful, the process for reserving lap time in the pool is easy to navigate and effective, and the facility is first rate and well maintained.
Great classes, very clean gym!
Close to home. Clean. Lots of great equipment. Variety of classes. Affordable. Great family programs
The coaches make the teams fun for all the kids and really try to include everyone fairly and equally.
Good for exercise for the kids.
Michaels experience with his this Soccer team was amazing …he had experienced Soccer with another
Last year without this same experience.
It was so organized!
Coaches were unbelievably great!
Soccer families were great too!
Not only Michael made huge advances in his love for
And learning how to play…so did the entire team!!
We have really enjoyed YMCA sports over the last three years. I've seen a few areas for improvement:
1) Better communication regarding the rules and expectations. While the coaches may be informed, the information may not make it down to players and referees. Because the rules change depending on age groups, communication to all involved would really help.
2) Better oversight of some of the coaches. While most of the coaches do an amazing job volunteering their time, I've come across a few who do not seem to uphold the values of the YMCA when it comes to respect and caring. We had an injured 7 year old girl on our team, crying and trying to get off the soccer field, and coach Schnefke encouraged her team to keep playing and shouted instructions to the referees about keeping play going so her team could score while our team was waiting for their injured teammate to safely exit the field. In the same game, she disregarding the preassigned Home/Away designations and refused to leave the side our team was scheduled for because "she was already set up there." I have been extremely disappointed in her behavior during every interaction.
In all, we truly enjoy playing for the YMCA, but I hope we can encourage coaches to play with kindness and respect going forward.
We love playing at the Y for soccer. This season it was apparent in our boys 5th & 6th grade team that there weren’t boys in 7th & 8th grade playing us incorrectly. I just wish you’d open rec locally for 7th & 8th grade.
We loved soccer!

Coach Rich McNeil has been the best swim instructor at JER Chilton! His compassion for his students are above and beyond. I wish, JER Chilton would recognize Coach Rich for his dedication and his passion to coaching young swimmers. He is the prime example of what the YMCA stands for. He never gets any credit, never gets any recognition, but I can honestly say on behalf of the parents of the kids he coaches, we are so happy with Coach Rich! His coaching style is second to none. Top Notch swim instructor with a big heart for swimming! Thank you Coach, please know we, the parents recognize and appreciate you so much! Hope the YMCA would do the same for you :)
