This is such a great place. Highly Recommend.
I’m so glad I have the Y as a place to workout in my community. It’s always clean, has everything I need and the staff are wonderful. It’s so heart-warming to see people of all ages moving together.

Lots of classes.
Meet friendly people.
I like the Yoga classes and equipment. Staff and members are friendly.
Frequency and variety of class offerings and caliber of instruction
We love taking the classes at the y for swimming. The instructors work with the kids individually to help them get better at swimming.
Just wanted to give a big shout-out to the JER Chilton YMCA in Rockwall! 🙌 The staff was absolutely incredible—friendly, helpful, and made the whole process easy. We just signed up the entire Hendrik family, and we’re excited to get started.
The facility is super clean, well-maintained, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. If you’ve been thinking about joining, I highly recommend checking it out! 🏋️♂️🏊♀️🏀
The equipment, the staff and the fellowship while working out.
We recently dropped YMCA for a senior sneakers gym that accepted our insurance. After two visits to the “said” gym and finding several broken pieces of equipment as well as a filthy pool and dirty gym in general, we went back to the Y! We are so happy we did. The monthly payment is worth having a clean environment with quality equipment and a beautiful clean pool. As well as always being created with precious friendly staff. Never will we leave the Y again. We do wish the YMCA would accept our Senior Sneakers offered by Medicare United Health Care. Our income is fixed and with everything getting more expensive we worry about losing the ability to keep paying for our workouts.
Large, nice layout, small towel service
Love the Y! They are the friendliest team of people. The yoga and group X classes are awesome! (I wish they had more space to expand classes, because they are all great!) love the pool, I do wish there were more hours of open swim, but I understand staffing and programming can make that a challenge.
Please stay open later on the weekends!!!
Cost, duration, instructors.
Excellent instruction, instructors are awesome. Small group instruction - 30 minutes right amount time.
fair pricing, swim instructors personal attention to the kids.
My kids enjoyed the lessons. I like the smaller groups as this provided more 1:1 versus a group of more than 4.
The program was very organized and the teachers were friendly and helpful to students and families.
I wish the advanced classes could develop stamina by swimming the length of the pool.
Meet all my workout needs. Good place to play pickleball. Friendly staff. 22 year membership.
Good management! etc., etc. etc.
Sunday, we wrapped up our 4-week-long swim lessons!
Sadly, my tye-down swimsuit wasn't cooperating but luckily I had this maternity swimsuit I bought years ago lol
For my final lesson I learned how to backstroke:VERY HARD!, float on my back and paddle my legs back and forth, opened my eyes underwater for the first time (I've had my eyes closed the entire lesson), and made it to the 5ft section of the pool for the first time since I was 18.
It was a full circle moment and kind of like a redemption swim.
When I was 18 I had to be saved by a lifeguard at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor because I panicked and nearly drowned when I slid down the ride and into 5ft deep water.
Not knowing how to swim or how deep the water was, I panicked and went under.
Since then, I only hang around waist-deep water: 4ft and below.
I can say I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to swim, and I'm sad it's over!
Looked into signing up for more lessons lol
My instructor said I improved very quickly from our 3 lessons.
I asked her if this means I can swim now and she laughed 😭
She said I can swim if I can swim in 10 feet deep and back. 😭
I gulped and got my happy butt out of the pool🏊🏾♂️
Thanks to Jennifer Pewitt/Associate Vice President at YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas for such a life-changing experience for me and the boys 🏊🏾♂️🏊🏾♂️🏊🏾♂️🙏🏽🙌🏾
Sadly, my hair was SOAKED!!!! Hairbrella what did I do wrong with this #swimcap
Also, after four lessons we discovered there are showers right there at the pool to get the chemicals off. #betterlatethannever
Soooo great!
Also discovered that there was a swimsuit dryer in the locker room?!?

Loved our experience! My daughter was more confident after taking classes at the Y. Thank you!
Instructors Jami and Kelli
Instructors are great! The kids advanced their skills and looked forward to their lessons. We will definitely be back.

I visited the Chilton Y with a friend (we go to the Cross Timbers Y in Flower Mound) to attend Donny’s yoga class. The facility is beautiful, the yoga room is huge and didn’t feel cramped at all, and Donny was an excellent instructor. I would love to take another class with him someday!
