The lessons are short enough to keep the kid's attention yet also give them a good workout and valuable skills. It is consistent enough to keep them engaged and encouraged.
Blake had a great time! This was his first year and already requested to go back next year. The only recommendation is maybe setting up signs for drop off/pick up; this may help the first time parents know where to go.
The camp counselors were amazing and patient with the children. Thank you.
My daughter had a blast! And as a parent, it was a super easy drop off and pick up.
We enjoy workouts at the YMCA. Have gained new friends there.
The classes, the friendliness of the staff and members.
Having said that, I have feedback -
1) Can we make classes 50-55 minutes long again like we had pre-COVID?
2) Can we not schedule classes in the same room that end/start at the same time? (e.g. PiYo at 9:30 and Zumba at 10:15) It is impossible and makes the second class even shorter than 45 minutes. Super frustrating.
We are first time campers. We decided to sign up because of a friend. My daughter loved it. I wish I would have signed up for more weeks. She spent the whole day outside and came home every evening tired, happy, hungry and ready for the next day. So happy to find a camp that lets my little be little- no electronics and no screen time. I was concerned about dehydration and sunburns because she is very fair but neither turned out to be an issue. I drenched her in sunscreen before the day began and she was reminded to reapply and drink on a regular basis. We will be back!
Wonderful staff and counselors. Very responsive via email. Fun activities for campers - my daughter especially enjoyed the Color War this last week!
Everyone is so friendly.
It’s close and the people are friendly.
The weight room and excercise room have good equipment and is not usually very crowded during the times I go there.
Camp counselors are awesome and very caring and inspiring, instructional, and polite. Really work to build relationships with the campers
Great opportunity to get a taste of summer camp without leaving home! I was impressed by the steadiness of my daughter’s daily experience, even in the face of crazy weather!
Cross Timbers YMCA is like family, members, staff, and all. It offers a variety of classes (with competent instructors) that anyone may take. Many extra activities are planned and all members may participate if interested.
Starting the day with staff and other members greeting you by name is outstanding.
my child loved the fun and learning new things while out at the lake each day.
Second year for my granddaughter to go and this year another granddaughter went too. They had lots of fun but unfortunately it was the first week and we had all the bad weather and rain. Not sure what the problem was with pick up at the end of the day. It was not good at all. I think some signs out for parents or grandparents picking up would be great showing them to stay to the right all the way down and then it loops to the camp to pick up. The first year it was fine but this year I waited at least 30 minutes or more to get the girls.
The friendly staff, wonderful people who have become family, and exercise classes.
My daughter loved it. She wants to go back. We will definitely come back if weather allows. Thanks!
I liked that we got to play games all day and I loved boating. - Lincoln age 8
I liked doing arts and crafts and boating on the last day. - Colter age 6
Great week!! So grateful for all that they do out there!!
It is smaller than the other clubs but not as crowded - The members that come here are an older demographic which is quite different from the Frisco club but about the same as the Coppell one. Cross Timbers allows me to complete my workout expectations without too many delays unlike Frisco for one - As a member of US Master Swimming I enjoy the seasonal pool at the club, but the availability of lap lanes has been drastically reduced - Same has happened at Coppell with their year-round pool. Overall, I enjoy this club very much.
Friendly staff. Great workout equipment.
Quiet, cozy, and has a good amount of classes and activities
Staff and friends
It has the community of inclusion no matter where your experience is in any of the sports!
We don't make recommendations. If somebody asks about our activity at the Y we always make a positive statement but we do make recommendations.
Everything was very organized and all the children had a great time... luck of the draw maybe but we had an excellent coach
The coaches and staff have the child's understanding by there group age level! Like that the children are taught to stretch before the start of play and when to give them a water break.
The staff is very helpful and the facility is clean and well maintained.
It is competitive but not aggresively competitive.
It is affordable
It is nurturing to athletes

Great place with all the essentials nothing fancy and wonderful people.
